Visited this little cafe after a hearty walk with my Dog along Alnmouth beach . The gentleman at the entrance was warm and inviting and was happy for me to sit inside if wanted even though I had my sandy dog with me. I however decided to sit outside as felt as a dog owner this to be more respectful . I ordered a Latte and a Bacon Stottie ( big bap) The latte was as smooth and velvety as I've ever had , whilst the Bacon Stottie was full to the brim with quality bacon and all in all simply divine. I will happily visit this charming and quality cafe again next time I'm in the area ?

A group of 4 friends and a collie enjoyed the warm friendly atmosphere and delicious food here. Stotties, quiche, pie and cakes - all scrumptious with an appreciated treat for the dog. A welcoming place on a cold day in beautiful Northumberland. Thank you we enjoyed it very much and wish you a prosperous 2024! Will be back.

What an excellent find, great food and most excellent service. Eight of us managed to squeeze into the parlour out back next to the traditional range. All eight enjoyed a range of lunchtime fare. Home made and hit the spot.

Very nice and friendly staff. I had tuna sandwiches with salad and crisps. The bread was really tasty. My family also enjoyed their lunch.

A lovely find in Alnmouth, when most of the other establishments are on the pricey side. Friendly staff, wholesome food & reasonably priced.

A warm welcome from all the staff, we enjoyed our salads, big wedges of stottie and thick slices of delicious ham. Even better huge slice of warmed chocolate cake with cream. All the staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Will be back. Thankyou. X

Great tea room, friendly staff. Lovely bacon & egg stottie at breakfast in the morning although had I have visited later in the day I?d have definitely tried the ?old school? corned beef pie. My only slightly negative thought was 10:30 was a little late opening time for breakfast at the weekend but worth the wait.

A lovely little tearoom located in a beautiful village. With plenty of seating inside and out (and catering for those with dogs) the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our meals were reasonably priced and quick to arrive. Not only that but they tasted fantastic and were worth every penny. If you're visiting Alnmouth and need a pit-stop, do yourself a favour and try here.

There are so many reviews singing the praises of this tea room. Well our experience was anything but. We called in at lunch time and the place was busy. We sat in the alleyway which is an overflow of the inside. Not exactly comfy. We were hungry and had just arrived in Alnmouth else I think we would have found somewhere else to go. We ordered two bacon sandwiches. £5.50 each, a pot of tea and a fizzy water. When the bacon sandwiches came we were stunned!!! Two thin slices of the cheapest brown bread with a couple of slices of medioca bacon in it. The bread wasn't even buttered but there was plenty of funny tasting fat soaking into the bread. I'm surprised they even bothered to slice it into two!! No crisps, not even a lettuce leaf! What a ripoff. I had a few bites and gave the rest to my husband who ate it as he was hungry. I'm sorry I don't think I have posted a bad review in all the years I've been writing in TripAdvisor but this experience was terrible. When I tried to go to the toilet I was told it was out of order and I wasn't even pointed to the public toilets as I see another reviewer was.

Very inviting tea room with tables outside, both under cover and on the footpath. Always a friendly welcome. Visited on the first day of our holiday. The toasted tea cakes were the biggest we?d ever seen and there were some delicious cakes on display. Bit worried by the sign on the toilet door stating that it was out of order. Plumbing problem we presumed. We wondered how they were allowed to stay open with no toilets but were directed to the (free) public toilets down the hill. Popped back a week later before we left the beautiful village for home. Toilets were still out of order and we were told the floor had collapsed. Thank goodness for the local loos or presumably they would?ve had to close in the height of summer. Very friendly and chatty staff and the young lad working there was absolutely lovely. Hope they?ve fixed the floor before we return, which we will.
