Great drink options, I had a 1664 in a 1664 glass, food options brilliant and size of portions matches the prices and beyond, really dog friendly even for problem dogs, a great quality pub and thanks for the great service.

Staying in Alnwick we booked a table (bar or restaurant areas) and had a lovely meal, decent bottle of wine and deserts.
Prices are on the high side for a 'pub' meal, but that reflects the local tourist area norms.

This was our very first time visiting the Market Tavern in Alnwick. We didnt have a booking but were fitted in by amazing kind and friendly staff. We both had a stunning and absolutely by far the most delicious Sunday roast beef dinner we have ever come across and thelats coming from a couple who live in Alnwick! We will definitely be returning the staff are all super friendly, helpful and very welcoming! ?

Really nice atmosphere and enthusiastic staff.
Definitely worth booking as it was quite busy on a Thursday night.
Food was lovely with a decent selection of vegetarian options. The onion rings in particular was delicious.
Would be nice if the cheeseboard was more local cheeses but it was nice either way.

Perfect place to grab a meal and a drink
Staff very helpful as we hadn't booked but they fitted us in and we will definitely return
Recommend the blue cheese sauce with the steak. It was a different level.

Really varied choice of food, well presented. Decent portion size and freshly prepared. Great choice of beer which was well kept and lovely choice of wines. Unable to find fault. Very good value for money and dog friendly ??
