Food & drinks: Food was mediocre at best.Chips were poor standard using poor standard of potatoes, fried in old oil ( could smell on food).Had a saag aloo burger with paneer. Good idea but rather bland.Came with Halloumi rather than paneer.Other family members had the Hogshead burger. Very small with not alot of flavour.Could have had better from the McD's across the road!!!Food was dumped on table. Were not even asked if we had everything we need. Baring in mind, 2 of the party were disabled, one using an assistance dog, other using walking aid.Overall Expensive for poor quality food and service. Would DEFINITELY NOT recommend.Noteworthy details: No defined disabled parking. Entrance was fine to access.Could not find accessible toilet facilities.Would not recommend for disabled users

Only called for some lunch, our order went missing, the staff did apologise and refilled our glasses FOC. When the food appeared it was excellent.

Called in for Lunch. After a wait of over 40 minutes I went to ask where our food was. When they checked it had been taken to another table. The Chef immediately cooked our order again, we were given complimentary drinks. When the food arrived I can honestly say it was well worth the wait, it was absolutely delicious. Will call again when we are passing.Food & drinks: Excellent Food, Beautifully Cooked & Presented.

We just had the most appalling meal in the bar at the Hogs Head in alnwick. Scampi pale and undercooked, chips the same but worse as obviously the end of the bag which was made up of scraps and black ones. I complained and asked for it to be recooked. It came back the same, except they'd removed some of the scraps and shown the scampi some more oil! The only positive thing being that they refunded the meal - but only when I asked. The staff seriously need to learn some customer service skills. Being in Northumberland really isn't an excuse! Had far far better meals at from a chip shop.

I've driven past here hundreds of times whilst working booked myself in as part of a wedding , day, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. I asked for an early check-in which wasn't a problem.the room was spotless and had everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. I decided to have a breakfast whilst waiting for the wedding transport which was very nice.. it was an extremely comfortable night sleep after a long day at the wedding, considering its very close to the A1 I never heard any traffic noise. If you are travelling north to South or vica versa I would highly recommend a stop off here. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the facilties (bar etc) were top quality.Rooms: Very clean and extremely comfortable.Food & drinks: Outstanding!!

We booked last minute and what a wonderful place. Service was amazing for food and hotel. The lady that popped by with extra bedding was so friendly and kind, she even gave us some extra biscuits for the kids. It's super clean and the beds really comfy. We had a brilliant night sleep. Would really recommend staying here. Location is also perfect for everything we needed an just a perfect little weekend escape.

Lovely large rooms, very clean and comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty and good quality. And all was dog friendly!

Visited for the first time over Christmas. Like all the other pubs owned by The Inn Collection, it is dog friendly. Food and service is excellent and the pub is warm, inviting and looked beautiful with its Christmas decorations. Large car park so easy to park close by.

Staying away due to work I thought the location was perfect. The check in staff were very welcoming and friendly, as was the bar/waiting staff. The food was amazing, complements to the chef. great seasonal dish of pheasant, very well cooked and well thought out dish. The room is very spacious, clean and quite. All the above was just what I needed after a long day at work.Next time I'm working in the area I'll definitely stay hear again.

Best decor.Staff.And pub grub I have had in many a year.And...good value.Loverly drop of Merlot, and excellent Mcaffrey's.Defo have a return visit.In the boxes below ther should be a Quality button.Not quite LuxuryBut certainly top quality.
