Terrible service to be told after waiting in queue, albeit knowing there was a substantial wait for food, which was fine. Everyone else gets served no problem being informed of the wait for my husband to be told at his turn that they were accepting bookings only was disappointing! Someone should have been informing people upon entry! Travelled from Sunderland ( which we do frequently) with full intentions of eating here, but won?t be back!

Very disappointing. Been a number of times over recent years when visiting Alnwick, the last time been Christmas, always had great meals and good service.
Today's visit was disappointing, waited almost an hour for a mediocre meal to arrive. The staff were lovely and trying their best but Im sorry to say, this pub has changed and not for the better. Will not be coming back again.
In their reply, they put this down to it been busy, whilst this may have been the case earlier in the day, it was not overly busy at the time we ate. The whole experience including the quality of the food has gone down hill since it's been taken over.

Green King pub - went for lunch. Did not stay overnight.
Nice atmosphere and decor. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cannot eat / order food in the beer garden - indoor seating for food only. Staff very allergen aware. Gluten free menu - items served with a flag. They also flag any items that are vegan due to food preparation and handling. Food was too nice ands I was too hungry to take any pictures.
You can enter from the front or the back (near beer garden).

Staff friendly, served quick. I wouldn't eat there, not a nice ambience. Loud music. I didn't like the feel of the place.

Didn't end up staying for food, hadn't realised they had recently changed hands to a chain. Food before was brilliant, now generic pub food which tends to be over priced when you can find better options & quality for equivalent elsewhere. Still a beautiful pub inside though.

Super cute little pub in a cute town! This place is kind of on the outskirts of what's classed as the main shopping district but it's really not far. Very cosy interior, staff were friendly and great, food was tasty and the prices are reasonable!

Was looking for a place that could accommodate 7 of us and a dog, without hesitation the staff told us to take a seat which was fantastic. The 7 food dishes arrived within 20 minutes, all together and piping hot. Great selection of drinks at reasonable prices and take blue light card for discounts. The staff and service were exceptional. The location in the heart of Alnwick town centre is stunning. If you are ever in the area, give this a go. £55 for 7 dishes that were faultless!

My wife and I celebrated our marriage with friends and family here. The staff were very helpful in the build up to the event, and were very accommodating. They gave us our own section of the pub for our own festivities, and the bar staff were friendly and easy to deal with. Big appreciation for Sophie who dealt with us the most and was a very friendly, easy person to speak with. We?d definitely come back again.
