I was visiting Alnwick for the day and managed to get into Olive Branch Cafe for a coffee just as they were closing. The staff were friendly and served me an excellent cappuccino.

Pleased to find exactly what we had hoped for after a long walk on a chilling morning. Lunch of delicious homemade soup, bread/cheese scone and a pot of tea.Whilst quiet when we arrived the cafe soon filled up and seemed very popular with a mix of clients and dog walkers (separate seating ??).Thank you for warming us up!

A lovely cafe, nice coffee and single/double shot choice. Decaff too. Good food menu. Quiet Dog friendly area at the back. More seating than it looks like from the window.

Stumbled into The Olive Branch what a find. It was just so good, with very interesting artwork up for sale and the coffee and cakes were excellent. Very friendly staff and we were able to take our dog ? in!Lovely place to relax in and we loved our visit. Nice!

The menu explained they're desperately short staffed in the kitchen so food preparation would be slow which was honest and managed expectations.... Waiting staff were extremely polite and kept apologising profusely. However after 45min to receive two delicious quiches which had been MICROWAVED was desperately disappointing expecially as the pastry was soft and the egg rubbery. Such a shame as tasty and potentially really good. I was asked when paying for my opinion on the Quiche and was told there was no time for it going into the oven ?? For nearly £10 per Quiche/ side salad/tiny pasta side I won't return......

Went for breakfast and coffee and far from disappointed. Flat white made properly, delicious strong americano coffee, and breakfasts of toast, sandwiches and yoghurts left all of feeling very satisfied. A second coffee was enjoyed also!

Although the food was good, the prices were unreasonably high for what it was. The young girl who served us was a nice young lady who did her job very well. I met the owner when paying. I found him to be grumpy and rude. I am disinclined to return here because of the prices and because of the owner's manner.

A visit to Northumberland and regulars for park run so had to do the park run on tour - as you do ;-) wandered into Alnwick for a spot of breaky and tried the 'doggy friendly' one but no seats so thought we'd have a wander round and see where we could find and WOW what a find. They are dog friendly and offered us a seat inside but we thought it would be nice to sit outside and watch the world go by. Absolutely lovely breakfast and staff. Food was plenty and highly recommended - 5 stars isn't enough for food quality, price, staff friendliness and location :-)

Freshly made scones; a choice between savoury blue cheese or date and orange. We chose the latter with clotted cream and jam, with a cup of Earl Grey tea; delicious. Lovely, accommodating young staff with the usual friendly and kind owner. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cafe serving excellent food. Check the specials board before ordering from the menu. The quiche I had was excellent.
