Nicely positioned in the centre of Alnwick, service was great and we've not paid so little for drinks in quite a while.

We called in for a drink and something to eat this afternoon. most tables were still covered in plates from the previous diners but we found a clear one. We ordered a pizza and a burger. Both were overcooked. The pizza was ruined.

This pub is now called The Hairy Lemon. We called in for lunch having been dismayed to find our usual favourite eatery permanently closed. We were greeted on arrival and looked after from start to finish by a very friendly lady. I was pleased to find a good selection of gluten free choices all at great value.
