My family went without me for Sunday lunch as I was travelling back to Alnwick from the south. It must have been good as they haven’t stopped talking about it and it’s Tuesday!

Visiting Alnwick on a Sunday, naturally I checked out where was the best place for a Roast and this establishment did not disappoint! I did pre-book, which is recommended as it was full and they were down a server or two - no bother, the staff on duty did their best. The food was very good indeed! All 3 of our mains were luke warm. The food was ok but nothing special and not deserving of the prices. The 2 staff on duty were talking very loudly across the restaurant, about how they expected it to be busier, laughing loudly etc. and we felt like we weren't that important. Disappointed.
