We visited for lunch (family of four) and all found something to suit. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast stottie, filled with plenty of filling. My tuna sandwich was nice, served with a lovely fresh side salad and crisps; only issue was that there was too much butter (but this is something I?d easily ask to change next time). The scrambled egg on toast was a good portion and very tasty. Tuna melt toastie was excellent too. The small let-down were the scones; both fruit and cheese were very dry, but they did provide plenty of clotted cream or butter.
Service was excellent and they clearly work very hard. It?s a lovely cafe. Next time we?re trying the cakes, which look fabulous and made by a local bakery.

Lovely place, looks popular, only stopped for coffee, sat in courtyard, but we are very tempted by the menu to return for food. Delicious coffee. Fair price and excellent service. Dog friendly and friendly staff. Bell on the door ringing every time someone goes in or out and is rather piercing noise to the point of irritation, especially when trying to have a conversation. That's the only downside to a lovely cafe/bistro.

What a wonderful meal!! Piping hot, melt in the mouth and absolutely delicious. Starter, main course and desert were all excellent. Looking forward to Italian month in July!!!!

Love this place, we're locals and we go all the time. They've just started an evening Bistro and the food was amazing, some of the best I've ever had! A real gem x

We have visited here when Alnmouth is quiet and it's OK. Made the mistake of calling in during the arts festival and it was a disaster. The staff couldn't cope. We got a table OK but it took a long wait and four requests before a server took our order. Then...well nothing. The tea and coffee came but the food didn't. After an hour sat there we left. If only cafes were realistic about how many people they can serve in sensible time and what menu is appropriate to deliver in a timely way.

Just visiting the area, called in for breakfast,lovely welcome excellent cappuccino and the bacon,sausage and egg stottie was amazing.never heard of a scottie but it was WOW ? would highly recommend.

Dietary restrictions: My partner enjoyed a bacon sandwich. Being Cealiac they catered well for me with scrambled egg on toast on gluten-free bread, having taken great care in the preparation to keep it separate. Plus a pot of tea for 2. Much appreciated. New owners who are making great improvements to this quaint cafe. Wishing you all the best with your new adventure. Highly recommended.
