Hotel was nice, rooms basic but clean.
Dinner was fabulous our meal was 10/10.
The only thing that let it down was our breakfast - we arrived down for breakfast at 8:10 to be be told the chef had not arrived in. The waitress was left to deal with everyone arriving for breakfast and no hot food to offer that she had to take it upon herself to try and whip up a breakfast for the 3 tables sitting (she done a very good job) but not what you would expect when coming down for your breakfast for a first time stay. We were served 2 sausages, 2 bacon and 1 egg as a basic fry absolutely no fault of the waitress she was trying her best and was under immense pressure - not an ideal situation.
Overall - enjoyed our stay but unfortunately the breakfast situation would put us off staying again.

Stopped in for a meal on the way back from AI semi in Croker. Two had Turkey & Ham dinner, two had Chicken Curry, one junior gudgeon & chips. All happy with quality of food and prompt friendly service and value.

Just leaving this beautiful understated little Haven popped in for lunch. Lovely friendly staff ...Fish and chips to die for soup and toasted sandwiches filled to the brim. Homely surrounding then to top it all off homemade sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble omg I will so be back to try this again !!

Was at the Ulster American Folk Park and decided that we'd have late lunch, early dinner. The Mellon Country Hotel perfectly situated for us. Food was amazing! Three coarses, different dishes for 4 hungry people.

Quiet & Comfy
Stayed there for a night. The room was excellent and comfy. Breakfast was included, the restaurant was nice. EV charming available.

Great wee hotel, with a delightful homely vibe. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the venue is ideal for the Ulster American Folk Park just down the road and the most important thing of all, the beds are wonderful and comfy! The breakfast is delicious too! ???

I recently celebrated my Hen party weekend with 26 friends and family, and I honestly couldn?t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff and management went above and beyond to make everything perfect. They helped organise external vendors for activities like a paint and sip session and cocktail-making classes, and were more than happy to accommodate them on-site.
We had a private function room that suited our group perfectly, and the hotel even served a buffet-style lunch directly to the room, meaning we could relax and enjoy the day without having to move around. Later on, they thoughtfully transferred our decorations to the dining area for our evening meal, adding an extra special touch.
The evening meal itself was exceptional, generous portions, plenty of veg, and a delicious set menu with starters, mains, and dessert. We were treated to a fun night of karaoke, and even the owner, Pat, joined in for a singalong, which made it all the more memorable.
A special shout-out to Anna, our favourite waitress, who took such great care of us throughout the day. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. The cocktails were amazing, and the hotel surprised us with complimentary chips and sausages in the evening, a lovely, thoughtful gesture.
We?ll definitely be back and would 100% recommend this venue for any celebration or event. Pat, your staff are a credit to you ? thank you for making my Hen weekend so unforgettable!
