We?ve always enjoyed Balloo House but this was our first visit to Over Wood. Lovely, accommodating staff. Helped find a cushion for my mum, who?s suffering from back pain. Great wine list. Food was excellent and flame cooked to perfection. Mum?s fillet cut like butter. If there was one thing lacking, I?d say it?s a ?clean? side dish that isn?t embellished. With so much richness on the menu, a simple side that can cut through other dishes would?ve been ideal. We will definitely be back - thoroughly enjoyable.

We have been a few times since it has opened and each time has been a fantastic experience. The staff are very attentive and go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time and they truly know the menu and take the time to explain things in detail. The food is some of the best tasting and quality that you can get on the island. I always recommend Overwood to anyone who will listen. Thank you.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Overwood & it was truly amazing! We had the entire place for our special occasion and the professionalism from the staff, led by Robbie was top class! I would highly recommend Overwood for private events.

Lovely restaurant and great food. Staff are very professional. We got off the 3 course menu, steak cooked beaitfully. The outdoor terrace with the fire has a great vibe.

We had a wonderful eating experience at Overwood recently. We were a party of 5. We had a drink on the balcony, warmed by the fires, before sharing some delicious starters (oysters, beef ragu, beef tartar). We then moved on to the most amazing steaks ever, and side dishes to die for. Everything was exceptional and I'm so pleased our visitors from England and Cavan just loved everything about the entire meal. Thank you Eoin and team!

Booked a table for 7:30pm. We weren?t seated until 8:30pm and weren?t offered complimentary drink for the wait. Although the food was amazing but the wait would definitely make me think twice about going

Don?t get me wrong, we had a very pleasant evening, and would probably go back. Steaks were excellent, as you would hope given the high prices, but both sea bream which were ordered were very undercooked, with one virtually raw. Both had to be sent back, but there wasn?t much of an apology. A free drink or dessert would have been a nice gesture. The restaurant is beautiful, and it was very nice to sit outside with our apéros by the log fire. Staff also very helpful and knowledgeable. So I would recommend anyone to give it a try.

Been three times in last 12 months. Without doubt the best meals I have had in NI. Slightly pricey (and only slightly) but you get what you pay for. And by God does Overwood over deliver? Really relaxed unpretentious atmosphere and incredibly knowledgeable and skilled staff matched with food and flavours you will never forget. A hidden gem if ever there was one! Food so good forgot to take any photos! 5/5 every time
