Terrible experience, I went to exchange pounds for euros, the woman was super rude to me, shouted that she wasn't going to exchange and told me to go to the exchange booth in front, and even slammed the glass window with all her strength! Rude, rude woman!

Staff keen to find ways NOT to help. Other post offices are available in town. Some don?t even involve walking 100 yards through food aisles.

Very friendly staff, the young lady that processed my lotto ticket win today was both helpful and very knowledgeable. It's a slow administrative-heavy task that requires lots of photo ID verification, ticket activation, form filling, survey questions, computing and finally issuing of cheque.(There are also complications for anyone in similar situation to be aware of i.e. the supplimentary bank/utility bill supplied must be dated <3mths). Luckily she advised a suitable remedy via the bank nearby, who did a re-print (also very helpful).It's also at the back of a food store, that can be a good thing or not, depending if you need to pick up some lunch on the way out. Being Newry folks are friendly and you can have a chinwag about the weather or price of butter, with the locals if/when standing in queue at this Hill Street store.

Friendly staff. If it's busy (which it often is) be prepared to wait. Much smaller than the old Post office that used to be on Hill Street years ago but no drop in demand so often a long line of people waiting. Staff are great though.
