They never did follow up on my email, which just shows they didn't care from the start and the follow-up was just looking like they cared.They leave a follow-up on your review to seem interested in your feedback.Ask you to email with more feedback or would like to chat about things, but don't follow up on your email.Review below ?Set in a beautiful location.Only had food here on this visit, but had a nice walk round the grounds 1st. The grounds are great for a walk before or after a feed, with some beautiful views and for some nice pictures. After our walk, we had food back in the bar bistro as it was 1pm when the lunch menu was starting. We hadn't booked in, but this was no problem at all. The staff just said to sit at any table that was not set up for service. It would have been nice to be walked to a table. This would have helped with the awkwardness as two sets of guests walk to the same table. The guests behind us went one way round the bistro to the table that we were walking to and we both got there at the same time. This gives you that moment of awkwardness that could be avoided by being walked to the table by staff, especially if you are operating a seat and great at your door. There was not a lot on the menu, but we still found something to eat. When the food came to the table wow it looked good, but let down in what you get. The burger was just ok for the money. The chips that came with it were full of chip ends rather than chips. The lamb meat balls looked good and tested ok, but they were just warmed in the microwave as there was an uneven temperature. Over all good but not as good as what I hoped

Had the most wonderful weekend at Killeavy castle. The staff were so attentive, friendly and professional. My spa experience was so good. All the staff were amazing but particular mention for Eoin, John from the bar and Emma in the spa. We missed the bar manager?s name but he was also exceptional. The food was really good. The treks around slieve gullion were so good. All in all a perfect weekend.

Everything about this estate is well run with great staff.There's lots to do on the castle grounds.All produce are grown on the estate.Well worth a visit, it's a great experience.

My Sister and i go there just before xmas every year for dinner and a girlie chat... Seated together by the window in the restaurant/ bar excellent views. ?Dinner and service was as usual excellent food washed down by a few drinks . ??Excellent service... tasty food ... great surroundings ... go a head and treat yourself ... why not .. u be writing the same thing as me on your own review ... ?? very highly recommend...

Great hotel in every way, pleasant staff, great food, and service excellent. Surroundings peaceful and well landscaped, beautiful setting. The staff at breakfast and dinner very welcoming, and aim to please. Room very spacious, clean and bed very comfy. Nothing negative about this hotel, very professionally run. Will be back again soon without hesitation.

What an absolutely beautiful hotel. We had a very good stay, the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly, the place was very luxurious and fancy. It was a great treat! The grounds are also lovely for a walk. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.Rooms: The rooms were absolutely fabulous, the bed was very comfy and the room had great decorNearby activities: There is lots to do nearby including the magical Slieve Gullion Forest Park.Food & drinks: Both the food and drinks were fabulous.

5 star review for 4 star HotelFrom the second we arrived for my 50th birthday the reception was unbelievable. Truly made to feel special by all staff we encountered. We got a tour of the castle by Eugene and his passion for the job was unbelievable. He explained the history of the castle and grounds like a through historian. Brendan and Maggie were truly exceptional with their service and made us feel so special. Amazing views of the mournes and great respect for eco friendly resources this hotel has. Every member of staff has great respect for all visitors. Will definitely be back
