Great service and great food. Open fire (Gas) in our room that was lit for us arriving, which was really heartsome. A really good experience.

Outstanding food, super attentive staff, warm and cosy atmosphere and most importantly local to mid-Ulster. Scott and Sean are fantastic with a generous welcoming smile; they care for their guests in the most proactive and guest-centered way. A solid five stars throughout. Our family and friends come to Ardtara throughout the year; for a overnight stay, breakfast, bar snacks, lunch or dinner...everything is always 5 star and professionally executed. Breakfast served in the glass room is always a highlight. Their rooms are well proportioned, tastefully decorated and everything conveniently located making for the most comfortable guest experience. Highly recommended.

Exceeded expectations We went to Ardtara last night for our mums 60th birthday. A wonderful experience all round. We were greeted beautiful and taken into a beautiful lounge room for drinks, olives and parsnip crisps they were BEAUTIFUL and such a lovely start to the evening. We enjoyed a few excellent cocktails, then in to another beautiful room for dinner. Everyone?s dinner was outstanding. Even my fussy brothers!! We loved it all. Both breads to start with the whipped butter and the little parmesan custard tarts were superb. The portions do not look massive but with a few extra sides for the table, all 8 of us had bellies full of loveliness. Ask in all it was such a wonderful evening. We never felt rushed, the waiting staff were brilliant craic and very attentive the whole time!! A massive thank you to Ardtara for making this special evening, extra special ??? we will be back

Ardtara more than lives up o its reputation as one of Ireland?s Blue Book classic country houses. The former home of a linen baron; the original character of the house has been exquisitely preserved. Every single one of the staff at Ardtara was incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. The bedrooms are full of original character; each with a wonderful working fireplace. Last time I slept in a bedroom with an open fire was at my gran?s an awful lot of years ago! At Ardtara, the food is one of the highlights of this venue. And it is both exciting and sublime. Yes, Ardtara is quite expensive, But a unique experience and well worth every penny.

Charming original features and such a eaceful place!! The staff are fantastic - you hardly see them but if you need anything they are there before you can think about it. The perfect hosting. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and with authentic original features, overlooking the croquet lawn. Comfortable bed and complete silence made for a great night's sleep - probably helped by the wine during our superb meal. We went for the tasting menu, and were not disappointed. The food and service were exemplary and the price was very reasonable. If you are looking fir a place to relax and completely unwind, this is it. We are already planning our next visit and would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff team. A truly wonderful experience

The bed was super comfy, the hotel was old fashioned but warm and cosy and clean. The rooms had fires going, the food was amazing, the service from staff was personal and thoughtful and all the drinks they made up were great. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back in the future.
