I was threatened with violence from another customer at a checkout in Lisnagelvin store in Derry. There was no security people to help me. I'm 72 years old.

A woman named Shirley at checkout so kind helping the man in front of me with his online app which didn't work. She'd had a fall a few days ago and was in such pain still but still did her job like a professional ?

You need to retrain your cashiers on the laws of challenge 25 and proxy sales, i know alot about it to know what your cashier did was wrong as i am apart of management in another large retail firm. Me 30 years old who had his driver licence as proof of age got refused sale because the person who i was with was behind me in the queue with a different sale didnt have id even tho she had nothing to do with me purchasing my alcohol. She was there getting her own stuff. Theres nothing more embarrassing that getting refused something being 30 with proof of age because your cashier isnt trained correctly. It was ME buying the alcohol. It was Me handing over the money. it was ME that had the ID so there shouldnt of been a problem. What makes it even more shocking is that we went to the tescos in the strand road and the cashier didnt even look twice at us and we got served. Train your staff better. Thanks for wasting time out of one of the very few days i get off.

Used to shop here regularly. Many of the aisles are blocked every time I shop here, so you have to go around with the trolley to eventually find a clear aisle to go through. Half of the self service tills are often out of order after 21:00. Heard other customers openly complain about this too. Scan as you shop closed off after 21:00 - creates massive queues at the self service tills where you scan the items at the till (many of which are out of order almost every time I visit). One of the times I had what appeared to be the manager stare at me as I scanned my whole shopping. Made me feel very uncomfortable, have never experienced this in any other shop. Definitely a way to alienate customers. The shop also closed over 30 minutes early on Christmas Eve, with a security guard saying the manager gave him orders to not let in any customers over 30 minutes BEFORE closing time and that I should lodge a complaint directly to Tesco about this. I travelled 40 minutes to get there, so the shop let me down on that occasion too. Very disappointed. This is an absolute mess of a supermarket, easily the worst in the whole city and the surrounding area. I haven?t been back for months - too many negative experiences have put me off shopping here. The stock in the shop is often poor. The parking is always terrible too. Desperately needs new management to fix all of the problems. One good point is the opening hours, especially on Saturday nights, but because the shop is so poorly run and disorganised I have started to go out of my way to shop earlier at other supermarkets. The shop used to be 24 hours a few years ago, but that was cut back too?

The worst stocked Tesco in Northern Ireland. Also almost never a customer basket at the entrance to the store. Several times no trolleys available at the entrance either. Some staff lack good customer service skills.
