Imagine a bank open to 3pm Mon-Fri. How is anyone who works supposed to get into the bank with those opening hours?

I used to like Santander bank until I was scammed this year. The scammers took out a lot of money out my debit account. I contacted fraud and they did put it back in but they didn't tell me that money was taken back out again saying I approved those transactions and to close the case which I didn't do. I was to constantly always on the phone with Santander and fraud about claims and all that and trying to get my money back. But they never gave me call backs. When I was on the phone with them they didn't give me much information about my case. I had to keep calling and keep calling them for statuses. Didn't get one cent back out of the £2600.00 Worst bank I ever experienced. I now closed my account. I will never go back to them again.

Worst customer service. Tried to deposit money in a ATM which got jammed went to tell staff member who was standing at the exit with door fully open and she refused to help. Had an appointment before that I tried ringing to cancel and they don?t even pick up the phone

Lady told me I couldn't change an option with my account through the app. Clearly wasnt bothered to help. Figured it out by myself.

Took a half day off work to meet wife and get a few things sorted in the bank. The girl I was dealing with told me she hadn't the authority to change the things I needed changed and even transferring some of MY OWN money to someone else she could do as she didn't know me and I would need ID even though I have banked there 20 years or more, we left with NOTHING done at all, only for a half a days pay lost . Appointment now made for a few weeks time to meet someone who knows what they are doing. Hopefully.

Derry branch is despicable, I went in to open an account and they were so extremely rude and unhelpful that I had to walk out before I said something rude back and embarrassed myself. Definitely not suited for their job, especially the taller grey-haired man.

Was told I had to make an appointment to come in and open an account for me to enable me to open a savings account for my daughter. I told Chris that I wanted this to be a secondary account as I want to keep the account I have with another bank. He then went to scan my passport. Left me sitting for over 20 minutes when Jonathan 'the manager' came in to me to tell me that there was a 3 week waiting list and I could have done it online if I wasn't making a full bank switch. Chris basically left me for 20 minutes to talk about my situation with a colleague, who then came in to tell me I was wasting there time. I was extremely upset by this and told the men I how they had made me feel and I no longer wanted to open an account with them, Jonathan literally opened the door and told me I can leave as I said what I had to. Not one apology or effort from either of the men to rectify the situation. I was already told I was unable to open the accounts online as I wanted a trustee account for my baby which is the only reason why I made an appointment. Making the appointment and coming into the branch was at no convenience to me as I had to drive around town for 20 minutes looking for a space and haul a young baby and pram out of the car for this appointment. I wonder if they would have treated a man the same way they treated a young woman with a baby. Absolutely disgusted and both Jonathan and Chris should be ashamed of themselves. Shocking

Santander as a bank and thus the team working for them, have not got back into the "not working from home attitude". Staff need to be retrained on all aspects of banking, to ensure the customers get the answers and the service that is expected. There is too many teams and sectors within the bank, mortgage team, loan team, credit card team. Which you have to ring independently.
