At Xmas a friend gifted me trainers, but they were too big, so I tried to return them for a different size. One of the workers in the shop, (I think she may have been a manager) made me very unwelcome in my attempts to return the trainers. She claimed they were not in condition for a return, despite the fact they were pristine (never even worn a single time and only taken out of the box to look at. There was dust and cardboard fragments from the box on them which was the justification for calling them in bad condition) and only 5 days into the 28 day return window.
I work with customers myself for a living and I'd never place them in such a situation, it was unprofessional and honestly not based in reality. I'm still trying to figure out why it went the way it did, I was perfectly polite but something just made the interaction go badly. In my opinion this is the part of the reason why brick and mortar stores are having a hard time, losing customers to dirt poor service. If my friend had used Amazon to gift me the trainers I'd never have been put through that uncomfortable situation.

Huge store, BUT only one fitting room!There are 2 rooms "Not enough if were used both", however one is locked, and in front of it are piles of clothes, stands continuously, "because I have been a regular customer for years, so I know exactly what I am talking about."As for the other remaining room "Only 1", it remains locked..Every customer who wants to use it must request that from the staff!Staffs see the customer standing & waiting there, they do not tell that the room is locked, they do not ask if they needs anything..Very bad behavior by the shop staff,This is a clothing and shoe store, how is it that there is only ONE changing room available and also it is locked all day?
