For anyone renting through Eastwood Estate Agents: if you were charged a £78 administration fee at the start of your tenancy for deposit protection, you are entitled to have this refunded, as this is an unlawful fee. If you live in a property with gas appliances, make sure your landlord arranges annual gas safety checks. If your landlord/Eastwood refuses or does not respond to a request for these to be carried out, report them to Environmental Health. Make sure your deposit is protected and that the tenancy information registered with the tenancy deposit scheme is correct. If you receive notice to quit, make sure you have been given the correct notice period, as the terms in your tenancy agreement are likely to be 15+ years out of date.

Very poor service. Neglected to get back to me with a request for a viewing. Over a period of 4 weeks I had sent 3 requests for a viewing on a property I was very keen to see. On the 3rd request I received a generic reply a week later advising me the property I was interested in was gone.It may be of interest to this company to keep in mind that times are not always as busy in the real estate market and this lack of customer service and consideration is remembered.
