Do not sell your items at cex anymore, they take your items give you nothing for them then charge double they are worth. The dvds never work and the staff are unbelievably rude. They are clearly not taught to help the customer but to make money off them. Just sell on ebay
Just wanted to add my partner brought in something new that cost £50 he was offered £5 or £10 store credit he spent some store credit and then asked to spend the rest another day he was refused. He then asked to have his item back since he wasnt being given the full credit and he was then told him to leave.

Great place to pick up physical media at low prices if you're not totally on the streaming train. 2nd hand electronics are more expensive than eBay, but at least you have the assurance of a two year warranty should they develop issues. Decent sized store with an ample range of DVDs Blu-rays and CDs. Lots of used mobile phones, tablets, games systems and games etc

What's the deal with the attitude of the staff in here? Came to the counter with a PS5 game, 3 of them were standing talking and ignored me for a solid 2 minutes. When I said excuse me all 3 of them glared right at me like I had just done something unforgivable! So whilst continuing their conversation a girl got my game together and seeing i had my card ready to pay she set the payment terminal in front of me.... I paid, she handed me the game and then turned her back to continue talking.... and the whole transaction was done without any of the 3 staff members uttering a single word to me. Their ignorance is literally breathtaking and it's the single worst example of 'customer service' I've ever experienced in 47 years.

Went in to the Lisburn branch to trade in a PS5 on the afternoon of 11/4/25 at around 16:00. When the girl was counting my cash it was nearly all tenners, she tried to short change me by miscounting twice with the tenners. I watched her twice put down a single tenner while actually saying the right count out loud. Not only did she try it twice the clincher is that when I counted she had the missing 20 ready in her hand which she produced immediately with a flourish. Astonishingly stupid behaviour. Check the cameras if you don?t believe me. She probably had already counted it herself which you would also see on camera.

Great and handy place to sell your tech quickly without the hassle of selling online. Sold a graphics card and received a bank transfer the next morning. Got a good price and the transaction was smooth and efficiently processed. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The shop was clean and tidy and well set out.

I walked in looking for a computer networking cable, but before I could even finish my sentence, the staff member just pointed me toward the cable section without bothering to understand what I needed. He didn?t even look at me properly, making me feel like I was asking for something for free. Terrible customer service?I won?t be coming back to this shop again.( stuff was chatting together)

Awful experience in this store my daughter has autism the store was nearly closing refused to take cash for a dvd my daughter wanted she got upset due to staff members shouting at us to leave and another staff member with purple hair told me to put a leash on my daughter not acceptable at all! Staff need retrained on mental health and customer service been to other cex stores and staff have been excellent management would need to look very closely into this store! Response back to saanchi who clearly hasn't read my review all staff clearly do not treat all customers politely and professionally under my review there is another customer complaint regarding staff

Very impersonal service. Girl who served me was like a robot. The approach must be to get as much money out of the customer with the minimum input. Cold and sterile. At least the big chains like O2 have a bit of customer care training.
