Visited the Drummond in August as we were attending a wedding reception at the Well Bar. With work, I stop in many a hotel and have to say the Drummond was excellent. The family room we were in was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfy. My only issue was that I went to make a cup of tea, I had to unplug the TV and the cable on the kettle was just long enough as there were no sockets at low level. My wife and daughter also said that there needs to be a socket at low level next to the mirror on the wall as they struggled with drying their hair etc. Great place with excellent staff who could not be anymore helpful. Definitely will stop again.

The rooms were dated with poor showers and lack of hanging space. Hotel needs dragging into the 21st century. Staff were welcoming and friendly however. Breakfast was adequate but at the weekend the cooked food was not cooked fresh and quality was not particularly good.

I had a great nights sleep and the staff were very friendly and helpful with all my needs, the breakfast was something else along with the dinner and lunch. I was even aloud to meet the breakfast chef Jamie and got a selfie?

We had lunch here and it was very good indeed. The food was excellent and very well priced. The fish was very fresh and the roast beef very tender. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Worth visiting.

I don?t get a refund when I told them we were going home and all I got was they were booked and they needed 48 hours notice ! To cancel oh yes the offered to give me a other night if I was coming back to the hospital a other time but I told them them it was a 1 off And the kept saying 48 hours So we went home Stay away from here

We booked in here on Sunday 23rd as my daughter was having surgery at kingsbridge hospital, Ballykelly and we did not want to put her through a lengthy journey home afterwards. We just got her over to sleep away from pain at 9 pm when the residents across the corridor woke her up as they were screaming at each other and then it sounded like someone was getting murdered, my 6 year old was woke up crying sore and distressed and begging to go home as she was so scared and her sibling got in such a scared state she made herself ill. My husband went to reception to address the situation and the manager and another member of staff came up, they didn't seem to bothered at all about the foreign nationals and what disruption they were causing so I assume this is their normal type of residents they accommodate. We had to pack up and leave, not what my little daughter needed after major surgery ?.

I stayed here for two days as I had a work meeting in the area. The hotel is charming. Almost old-fashioned, but I mean that very nicely. My room (in the newer part of the hotel) was modern, beautifully made up and as clean as a whistle. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom a good size - and praise be for a shelf in the bathroom on which to place toiletries, a hairdryer WITH a nozzle and sufficient coat hangers in the wardrobe. Breakfast both days was very good and beautifully presented. Lots of choices of cereal and bread/pancakes; yoghurt; fruit and juices. The coffee was very good. I had bacon and poached eggs both days and it came out perfect. On the first night our local hosts held a dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food and service were excellent. On the second night I ate alone in the bar area, and the staff were brilliant and the food just as good. One of the things I really like about this hotel is that there are plenty of places to sit and rest/read, with a lounge area off reception and little snugs, etc. And everywhere is immaculate and well cared for. Nothing looks shabby. I didn?t have a car but would have appreciated the plentiful parking had I had one. Sadly I am not sure I will ever have cause to come to this part of the world again but I wouldn?t hesitate to stay here again if I did.

Booked a room for Sat night 4th March, as i was having a procedure done in Kingsbridge hospital, opposite hotel paid £75up front, unfortunately Kingsbridge would not let me out on Saturday nite, so I rang the hotel to explain my situation and asked the staff could I have a refund, or a partial refund or a credit note for a different date, they said they would ask the owner and get back to me, The owner refused point blank to help me out in anyway, what a misreble unhelpful person you are, hope you are proud of urself, the staff are friendly people Avoid this place, why would you give this owner your money?

Stayed in this hotel for a one night stay as my husband was staying overnight in the Kingsbridge hospital .It is literally across the road from it which is so convenient. The room was fine, clean and warm which was needed as it was snowing outside. The breakfast is good too with a choice of continental or hot food. Overall a pleasant stay and the staff were very nice too.

The Drummond Hotel is situated in the small village of Ballykelly about a 5 minute drive from the town of Limavady where you will find a host of bars and restaurants. The hotel has a country house facade with the obvious additions of extensions over the decades. The lobby features seating areas with burning log stove and an eclectic range of furniture and ornamentation. It presents a very homely vibe which mirrors the fact that this is a family run hotel. On first impressions it has the traditional interior of a manor house with classical design and antique furniture. However, on further look it is disoriented with a mix match of styles, vintages and somewhat tired furnishings. Indeed even the large planters adorning the nice front entrance could do with being removed until the summer months instead of becoming a receptacle for trash and cigarette butts. The welcome from reception was efficient with a swift check-in. Upon entering the room it was very clean, neat and tidy. The double bed took up the majority of the room with just enough walking space at the sides. There was an open wardrobe space and a small dressing table which provided the only single chair for the room. There were positives such as tea/coffee, ironing facilities and a good sized TV. The bathroom had an attempt of being modernised in recent years with pvc panelling, but suffered from a moldy shower curtain and lack of toiletries. The WiFi was strong, open access and with speeds of 20mbs. The heating in the room was very sufficient and warm, even needing a window opened to counteract. Overall, the room is functional to sleep in but not inviting to spend time in. There was enough space for additional seating and table but this has not been utilised. Exploring the rest of the hotel it felt quite cold. The log stove in the lobby did little to warm the area even when moving seating in front of it. This was mirrored in the bar also. The bar was missing a cosy charm and lacking atmosphere. On this particular visit it was also dirty with spoiled food on the floor and sticky table. The bar prices were very modest and the drinks could be enjoyed in the nicer lobby area. The dining room was warm and nicely decorated with good spacing. The menu was plentiful and with good pricing for a hotel. Although the staff were friendly and apologetic it took 1 hour from sitting down for the main meal to arrive on what did not seem to be a busy mid week night. However, I would be tempted to say it was worth the wait as the food was fantastic. Both the quality of items used, flavours and portion sizes made this a beautiful meal. Credit to the chef. The breakfast was served in the same room - which was anticlimactic compared to the dinner. The quality of items used for the cooked breakfast were sub power and overcooked sitting in a ban-mari. There was an array of continental items available for self-service, however some covers would have been appreciated for sanitary protection. The cooked food was served by staff from the portable ban-mari, but if this had come from the kitchen and ordered off a menu it would have been a significant upgrade as it would have given the perception of freshness. Also a coffee pot on the table instead of the waitress coming around with the filter coffee canister would have again given a nicer perception. Although the hotel did not appear full, a late check out could not be facilitated. Overall this is a pleasant family run hotel. It no doubt trades mostly from being a functional wedding venue and attracting locals with their good food. I would not consider it a destination hotel due to location, amenities and what it offers. It does offer value for money but that price does reflect the offering given.

This hotel run by a lovely family. The staffs and the owner are so friendly. They can accommodate us while we need to change our circumstances with no problem. The place is so handy if you are having treatment in near by hospital, it's only across the street. The room was spacious (we had family room) and the beds were so comfortable. The hotel has turf fire stove in the lobby, make it so cozy when you come back from a journey. Especially in this winter month. The main highlight I need to share about this hotel, the food in the restaurant were superb. I could say its the best food in town.
