Well executed pubs grub of a high standard. Friendly, chatty and knowledgeable staff. Very quirky old space. Well worth going out of you're way to visit

One option for Vegetarians which in 2025 is utterly ridiculous! I booked a month in advance asked for private booth for my 30th anniversary and told none available! There was! We were seated at kitchen instead. Walked after our starter. Only had that because we were hungry! Vegetarians not welcome OBVIOUSLY!

The location, the building and the decor are exquisite and the staff are lovely. The food was great but disappointingly small portions for the price, left hungry.....

My wife and I decided to visit the Pheasant Restaurant
yesterday for some lunch.
We didn't have to wait and we found the atmosphere quiet and the booths are comfortable and cosy
The food was amazing and the service was great, we definitely will be back.

Arrived thinking there was a children?s play area outside as that?s what is shown on google along with a chat gpt recommendation saying there was a large beer garden and children?s play area. Beer garden is small, around 6 tables max. No playground. Thought ok, go and order a drink and entertain the kids ourselves, ordered 1 Guinness, 1 pure orange juice and 2 fantas, total cost?.£20.40. Safe to say we won?t be returning.

Excellent food. Seafood chowder and the wings were a highlight for me. So sad they had ran out of mussels.

I recently dined at The Pheasant Inn in Hillsborough and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. The menu offered a great selection of delicious dishes, and I was particularly impressed with the quality of the ingredients. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed.
My only minor critique would be the wait time for our food, which was a bit longer than expected. However, the taste and presentation of the dishes made it worth the wait. Overall, The Pheasant Inn is a charming spot with a delightful dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Fantastic Sunday dinner with our family. My son said he had the best crispy duck in his life, his whole 16 years;). The young lad taking orders told me the sugar pit cured bacon was sold out, but they could replace with roast pork belly; it was absolutely scrumptious. Nice staff, homey pub, wish I could have come here more often when I was younger.

Have been there many times. Very nice restaurant. The service is also very good. I like it as the disks are never too salty or spicy, which keeps the flavour of food. There is a large car park. It even provides drive-in takeaways. The only minor thing is the location, which is beside a small road. Probably it is more famous at local. Otherwise, one might only find it by searching on Google maps, like me. But once there, it never disappoints you.

Outstanding food! I didn?t particularly have any expectations before eating at this restaurant - in the area for a wedding tomorrow and just ticking practical box by eating out. To say we were impressed is an understatement - my wife and I were blown away with the quality and taste from the first bite. Had the lamb burger and cod - I?m doing both an utter disservice in providing no description - suffice to say easily one of our best experiences out. Most mains between £20 and £25 - beyond good value for how sensational all aspects of the food were - would happily pay more. Great welcoming atmosphere provided by staff and proprietor. Whenever back in NI, we?ll absolutely be visiting again.

Always a super meal here, the food is always great. Friendly staff. New click and collect service recently introduced. Very innovative.
Parking: Good parking right outside the restaurant.

First time here, only 20mins away and never heard of it. Really glad I did, beautiful tavern style interior with a cosy atmosphere. Beautiful food as well.

We walked in exceptionally hungry after a long day and ordered 5 starters to share (between the 2 of us) and left absolutely stuffed. I highly recommend the pork belly bao buns and the Irish roast chicken with asparagus and tarragon sauce. But everything we had was delicious. The interior space is charming with an old world authentic pub feel. We were so happy with our meal, we went back a second night and enjoyed it just as much!
