We travel to Ireland multiple times a year and have always stayed here, but this time will be our last. The rooms are okay if you just need somewhere to rest your head, they are extremely basic and noisy don?t expect to get any sleep if your room is on the ground floor as you can hear everything from the rooms above. In all the years we have stayed here the prices keep increasing but the standard of the rooms stays the same. You could find much better for a little less elsewhere. As for the restaurant, the food is lovely especially the cooked breakfast but is on the pricey side. The wait staff are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Although we did get the impression the hotel/restaurant manger did not want us there, she seemed to be doing everything she could to get rid of us. If there had of been another bar/restaurant close we would of left due to her attitude. After staying here many times we decided will not be returning. Special shout-out to the caretaker/night man Ray who always looked after us and was always on hand if we needed anything.

The food in the restaurant is very nice and well presented. The room includes 8.50 for breakfast but nowhere does it say it?s not served until 9am on a Sunday so given a lunch box of an orange juice, banana, roll. Appreciate the effort but it?s not a hot breakfast The toilet was broken and would not flush The noise walking along the floor can only annoy the guest below as the noise from the guests above was very frustrating. The sound of people plugging in and out charges etc they may aswell be in the same room. The room was extremely warm but can?t blame the place for Humidity

This was my first trip to the area and my colleague and I had a reservation. Although the establishment closes at around 21:00 in the week, the team knew that we were arriving and we're so kind as to keep the bar and kitchen staff on extra in order to accommodate us. The warm welcome, late service and 'We can't let you go to bed on an empty stomach' comment was reassuring and greatly appreciated. (Thank you!). In my opinion, the room was on par with any Premier Inn or Travel lodge that I've ever slept in except, for the pillows and bed were the best that I'd slept in for a good while. Do you know when your alarm clock goes off and you just want to roll over and grab another hour? Cohannon absolutely did that for me!! I've not long got back home but I'm so looking forward to going back to visit and experience the warm welcome and relaxed environment. Cheers guy's for a great introduction to Dungannon and the surrounding areas ?

Called in for some late lunch and food was great. Asked for a side of Chicken goujons, which came out bare on a plate and was then told at the till the goujons were £9.95. Good food, but standard of service and atmosphere greatly let the place down.

We booked the Inn as we were involved in a local car rally. The staff were so friendly when we checked and booking for dinner was no problem. The room was big and we had a view over the fields at the back. The bed was so comfortable and despite a very early planned start we had a great sleep. The bathroom was a decent size and the shower was piping hot. Towels, shower gel and shampoo provided along with a good strength hairdryer. A good TV in the room along with a kettle and tea/coffee/sugar and milk sachets. Dinner was gorgeous the caesar salad was 1 of the best I have had. The oeaen cocktail was great. Steak and mixed grill for mains were lovely but left no room for dessert. Definitely don't skimp on portions. We had booked the room only option due to our early start so no breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and if I'm passing would stop for food. Despite being on a busy road there was no traffic noise in the bedroom. Would recommend a stop here!

1* Steak was not cooked well done as asked sent it back and came back the same very pink! Tobacco onions was greasy and soggy mash was just about warm and chips were so greasy they could not be eaten! Have eaten here a few times before and always been fine but will not be back!

I visited the area to attend a close family members funeral. Whilst there I came upon a Brindle Whippet pup called Nelson (after Nelson Mandela). I can say with the greatest candour - had the afore said President Nelson Mandela been incarcerated in The Cohannon Inn he would have looked back fondly on his cell time on Robben Island. The noise level which emanated from the corridor gave me flashbacks to the many riots I have dealt with. To paraphrase a hero of mine Mark Twain (Sam Clements) The longest winter I ever spent - was the noight I spent in the Cohannon Inn
