Stopped in for a feed with the family. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was great and staff are friendly. Even the toilets are super clean and smell nice which is a big plus

We called in for lunch and the whole experience was excellent. First the staff were excellent, friendly and attentive and this bar is excellent with a good friendly and relaxed atmosphere.We had a starter of Chilli squid and some breads to share and this was superb. Our main courses were all different and again all excellent, the pie of the day beef bourguignon being the best. Fish and chips and the smoked haddock and parsley sauce both excellent.For dessert I had a crème brûlée which was nice however a classic custard is needed.This was a first time for us and we will certainly return.Thank you for a relaxed and very enjoyable lunch in a comfortable and friendly pub.

Absolutely top notch!! Grub was excellent and service was even better, thanks to the lovely Kathy. Best Monday I've had in a while!! First class pint of Guinness too!! If I've had better wheaten, I don't remember it. If I had to grumble, I'd say the portion of chowder could have been bigger, but it too was outstanding. Many thanks guys.

The Cuan Hotel in Strangford is absolutely fabulous. We are so happy that we have found it and we booked in again for July before we left yesterday. The staff are so friendly and very efficient. The food was amazing and the location is beautiful. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Can't wait to return.

Beautiful hotel in middle of the village. Rooms are cosy and bed extremely comfortable. Service from all staff was excellent, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Lovely breakfast and evening meal. Great location for seeing stranford lough, ferry right around corner to be a foot passenger over to portaferry, well worth a visit.

Went on a Tuesday evening, not many customers in, must be their couldn't give a damn night. Staff, robotic, completely devoid of personality and looked like they just didn't want to be there. Had rang earlier to check last food orders and told 7.45pm, at 7.48pm a woman came in,on her own, and asked if she could get something to eat, only to be told by the barman that the kitchen was closed, that's sad. Food was ok but expensive, £10 for three tiny pieces of squid is far from good value. Do not envisage a return visit.

Nice area close to ferry, quiet on night of visit. Seemed more like a cafe than a restaurant due to table layout.Food & drinks: Food good but one steak ordered as medium was very rare and bloody, staff took it back to be recooked? Came back not much better so most of it was uneaten.This was mentioned to the staff when time came to pay, no real reaction, disappointed.We will not be returning, we have eaten here in the past with no problems, maybe staff have not been trained in dealing with client dissatisfaction?
