My family and I stayed at the beautiful cottage at The Mill at Ballydugan where we each had lovely rooms. My room was huge with a toilet and shower. Every room had an incredible view. It was remodeled with modern amenities while preserving the history and charm of the home. It was by far my favorite place to stay in all of Ireland and Scotland for that matter, and we stayed at so many during our trip. The location is ideal as well being so close to quaint Downpatrick and the larger Belfast.

Just been to a wedding here. The location, venue and food was stunning. Really lovely spot. Would do with having a few extra hands on to work the bar but it wasn't really a problem. Highly recommended.

If you want slightly different venue than the usual hotels, this is it. An old Mill turned into a unique venue. Sitting out in the country, near a lake and a pub. It?s fantastic, we loved attending our friends wedding there on Easter Saturday.

I stayed here for a family wedding in finnabrogue. Thought the breakfast was very poor and my niece was very upset by the owners total rudeness to her when she complained the next morning about terrible condition of the bridal suite.Totally overpriced at 130 ponds per night. Room itself wasn?t very clean, very disappointing.Wouldnt recommend at all.

I originally booked one night in this majestic home away from home watermill house of wonder. Without I stayed an extra night and, if it weren't for other business commitments, would have stayed on much longer. Words escape me in describing this beautifully restored building that exudes an energy that must be experienced to appreciate fully. This was only the second time I met Noel, its current owner, who has painstakingly brought it back to life since purchasing it in the late eighties with great care and thoroughness. I very much look forward to many a return visit wishing Noel and his family many more years of enjoying the fruits of his efforts.

Stayed with abut 20 friends and family as my daughter was getting married at Finnebrogue. Some of us were in the Mill House ( a separate building). The rooms were unheated so it was very very cold. My daughter stayed in the bridal suite in the main building - no coffee or tea facilities, the radiator had leaked all over the carpet and clunked all night. The shower did not work. When my daughter tried to point out these issues the next morning the owner of the place was dismissive and rude. Appalling experience.

Ballydugan Mill is probably the most efficient wedding venue in Northern Ireland. Their ability to move the wedding to different floors for each part of the wedding day cuts down on so much of the faff that other wedding venues face, such as turning rooms around or waiting for entertainment to set up. Not only is it efficient but the grounds are beautiful and the Mill itself is an amazing backdrop for wedding portraits, as well at the near by lake. The staff are professional and super friendly. We can't wait to photograph another wedding at this venue!ig: @honeyandthemoonphotography

We had our wedding here. And it was the most intimate and stunning setting for us and our guests. The surrounding of the old mill are genuinely breath taking. The staff were friendly, professional and relaxed. Which put us at ease. And the food was first class. All of our family and friends found the food 1st class and venue unique. Highly recommend.Linda and Terry ???

Good location close to town. Hotel only offered breakfast, we had to go out for dinner. Our room didn't have a toilet that flushed well. We could talk through the walls to the next roomA fun place, though, and owners were nice.

Really gorgeous spot. No mobile phone signal, so maybe to ideal for longer stays, but lovely to be cut off from the world in such beautiful surroundings.

I attended a wedding at this venue and... wow... I was simply blown away!! The converted mill was not only impressive as a piece of restored architecture, but as a wedding venue, it was spectacular! The service, facilities, staff, food, ambience, were all simply amazing. Even operating at full capacity (it was a large wedding) there was no waiting or delays. The food was hot and of a-la-cart standard. My only problem was that I failed to secure accommodation at the Mill for the night.... I tried to book much too late... but even then the staff went out of their way to help.If you are searching for a venue for a wedding/party/gathering, then give this establishment a try. You will not regret it.
