Great home cooked food. Fish and chips fab. Cheap Mayo let dish down. Server spent whole time on his phone. Stroganoff garlicky, not normally an ingredient in stroganoff. Would go back but would suggest ask specifically what you want from the outset. Wanted to rate it higher. Lack of service and some basics let it down.

We won?t be returning in a hurry, very disappointing customer service from the waiter with the beard. We arrived at 15.40 and he asked us were we here for lunch. I enquired were they still serving and he stated yes but last orders at 16.00. This was reiterated a few more times from him. . He appeared agitated that we came in and we didn?t feel welcome at all. His service was poor and unfriendly. We ha s roast beef that came with chips as they had no mash. We ate our meal whilst listening to cutlery clattering in the background loudly. Food was nice but the service was not up to scratch. I?ve had better!

Lovely place for a meal and the staff are great food very tasty yes good value for money yes would good there at weekend so give it a try .

Arrived after 1pm Easter Tuesday, seated 7 of us with no issue. Staff brought menu and were friendly. Order was given, drinks brought to the table. Food arrived for everyone at the same time (which was hot and cold food). Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would go back.

We attended an amazing day celebrating a fabulous lady's 100th birthday. From we entered the restaurant greeted by George the owner to being seated upstairs for a 3course delish meal, top quality. Staff we so obligeing & pleasant. Can not fault anything about this place. Small & homly, hidden gem , don't pass call in. Many thanx for your hospitality.
