What a terrible experience have heard good things about this place but very disappointed got special fried rice with gravy and a chicken chow mein. The fried rice had 2 slices of chicken and one slice of beef hardly any gravy rice not fried frozen cooked prawns you can buy in most supermarkets. The chicken chow mein no flavour no broth tinned carrots and mushrooms and prosseced chicken what a disgrace.

Best Chinese in Co Down. Everything is done on the day when they sell out they close basically, it doesn't happen often but if you go late on a Friday you might find a few things have run out. Plus they are big family people they do close a bit to spend time with their kids which is lovely to see.

The curry served here is a sweet curry and not to my liking. I did complain and was told that for 40 years the Golden Dragon has served sweet curry to the good people of Downpatrick with no complaints. In fact, its their specialty. I found it bland and without any depth of flavour and would not go back for that reason. If sweet curry is your thing, then this is the place to go!

One of the best if not thee best Chinese in Downpatrick. Fast service and food is always top quality. I recommend their curry and chicken fried rice, very tasty.
