Visited on a Wednesday evening and was quite busy.
Very prompt service from Stephen and my party of 3 were well looked after. All impressed by food ordered.
Well done to the team and would thoroughly recommend.
Christmas brochure looks very interesting.

We had a lovely dinner at this beautiful restaurant. The chef was kind enough to wait on our arrival after calling to book a table close to kitchen closing time. The food was very tasty and a great atmosphere with fabulous staff.

Just happened upon this place and popped in for lunch around 2.30pm on a Saturday.
Lots of history and a quirky beer garden. Very quiet but soon livened up with plenty of locals and visitors just like us. Staff very friendly and helpful. The chowder was really tasty, creamy, full of fish and only a few mussels, little potato, just the way I like it.
We shared dessert, chocolate cake with cream - so good.
Definitely worth a visit.

We arrived on time for our reservation and were completely ignored by the staff and when we asked 'where we should sit' we were rudely told to 'sit anyway'.
The staff walked us past us several times and we were still ignored until we asked for a menu, when they brought it we were told it 'was a reduced menu due to how busy it was' however we could only see roughly a dozen other people and after waiter was fairly rude, we decided to leave after 20 minutes of rudesness and poor service we decided to find another restaurant.

we were just driving all day enjoying the weather and Bank Holiday and in the right time we found that wee bar.we were really pleased and higly recommended! amazing food, reasonable price, lovely staff?

Unfortunately very slow service and the food was a little bit disappointing.We were waiting almost 40 min for the starters and another half an hour for our mains.

They advertise they do take out but when you ring to place an order they say they are too busy so why have a take out menu , saidcthey might be able to do it in a couple of hours

Really great place for food and drink and another BIG plus is they are dog friendly.
