I stopped at Magheralin Church and cemetery just for a look around because of family history connections,with christening's back in 1850's what a beautiful church and grounds , the old cemetery accross the road was amazing dating back to the 1300's and a must visit if your in the area ,

We went to the Angel exhibition, and even though I am in no way religious, I thoroughly enjoyed the artwork. The staff we so helpful and friendly. The church itself is beautifully built and refurbished and the stained glass windows beautiful. Not to be morbid we took a walk through the peaceful and immaculately kept graveyard. Peaceful and serene. Enjoyed my first church visit in many years.

If you go on a Sunday it's a beautiful church, warm and welcoming, with a traditional looking service. Songs are a mixture of old and new, with the words on screens. Minister can be quite funny, but the teaching is very much grounded in the Bible.

As with all of Ulster the local populous very friendly and helpful. This enabled me to trace my ancestors tomb (Dolling) in the old churchyard. Unfortunately the new church Wes being refurbished and access was not allowed thereby unable to see the windows appertaining to Dolling family. As they say I will return.
