Trying to get outside caterers in my part of Armagh appears to be almost impossible. When attempting this for a birthday party for around 15 to 20 family members, one of my daughters suggested Gilberry Fayre near Banbridge. We have visited the restaurant/cafe on a number of occasions and always found it to be excellent with friendly and competent staff. It is based in an old schoolhouse and retains much of the charm of this even though it has undergone extensive but sympathetic modernisation. My wife contacted the restaurant for details of party catering and the details of availability along with associated costs, including any personal preferences were agreed in a very professional manner. I collected the trays of sandwiches, goujons, vol au vents, cocktail sausages and sweet selection without any delays from the restaurant and it was obvious that there was an excellent choice and very acceptable quantity. At the party, everyone agreed that all the food met and exceeded expectations. What was left was eagerly snapped up for those wishing to take some home- leaving some for us of course! This is a top rate catering establishment for which I have no qualms in recommending to those who have a future party event- you will not be disappointed.

Great cafe located between Gilford and Lawrencetown. Freshly made food. Seems to get a regular clientele. Large Fry £8.95. Open 8am to 4pm. Closed Monday and Sunday.
