Stayed here for two nights to coincide with a wedding I was attending here. The hotel was lovely and was the perfect setting for a wedding. The staff were very attentive and always on hand to help. We had the vegetable soup, turkey and ham dinner and a trio of desserts for our meal. Every course was lovely and staff regularly came round to offer us more food and top up our wine! The stuffing on the dinner was to die for!!
I stayed in what I believe to have been a family room, although I was staying alone. I had a reduced rate for single occupancy which was very reasonable. The room was huge. A double bed and two single beds, a bathroom with a bath and shower separate. There was a lot of space and the room was really comfortable with everything I could've needed. The hotel grounds/lobby were really nice and it was a gorgeous wedding venue.
I went to the pool the morning after the wedding. The facilities were fantastic. A pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and a ice bath - which helped me to rejuvenate after too much wine!
Breakfast was nice. Wasn't too keen on the sausages but the potato bread made up for it!!
Very pleasant stay here and would love to come back.

We visited in May as a college group whilst over for the NorthWest 200. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful to the group. The rooms were really comfortable and clean and accommodated the needs to the group brilliantly. The restaurant served tasty food and the breakfasts set up the students for the day perfectly. We will definitely be looking to return next year.

Dropped in for a bite to eat when we were in Cookstown.
Food isn't cheap here but it was nice and clean and the service was very good. Nice hotel from what we saw.
Value for money, though, is not how i would describe what we got. I believe i paid £18 for a burger and chips, similar price for chicken fajitas, and no side.
A similar meal in a local Derry bar and hotel is significantly cheaper for the same or better quality.
To qualify, i am recently surprised at the prices to eat out everywhere these days. Do believe that food premises are cutting their noses off to spite their faces currently. Drink and food prices have shot up so much these past few years we personally gather with friends and family more at home. Food is as good as many restaurants, more plentiful, drink is alot cheaper and as enjoyable as any bar without the young inexperienced staff and taxi costs home again

We (a family of four) had a lovely relaxing stay on Easter Sunday. The food in the restaurant was excellent with plenty of choices and live entertainment. Very friendly staff who looked after our every need in both the restaurant, reception and at the spa facility?s. Thanks again!

I recently visited the hotel and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. The food was well below expectations in both taste and quality, and the service throughout the meal was inattentive and unwelcoming.
What was especially concerning was the attitude of the management. When feedback was raised?both by myself and by other diners?it was met not with a willingness to listen or improve, but with defensive and, at times, rude remarks. Rather than showing an interest in resolving issues or enhancing the customer experience, the response felt dismissive and unprofessional.
Given the overall lack of quality in both the food and service, and the poor handling of customer feedback, I do not plan to return.

Fabulous Sunday Lunch
Such a fabulous lunch last Sunday in the Glenavon Hotel. Met family and it was a very enjoyable experience. The food was piping hot. Always a pleasure to visit here. Keep doing what you are doing, yous are the best. Looking forward to our next overnight stay here.

Very poor service. Rude and unattentive staff.
Food was not what it said it was. Ordered baked potato skins and got chips.
We are here to celebrate birthday. Staff are not trained at all. Got a bottle of wine and the staff just opened it and left instead of pouring for us. Prosecco was served with a red wine glass. Did not clear the plates until we asked.
We brought a birthday cake and requested it to be served multiple times but no one helped. Cake was eventually served with no plates and cutlery.
*Edit: As a customer I was at no point rude to the staff and I?m in no way responsible for my father-in-law?s behaviour.
Unfortunately my father-in-law decided to be the bigger person in this circumstance as the owner(s) claimed that they needed to ?review? my father-in-law and his wife?s membership to the hotel that they paid for due to this review, which is totally unprofessional and shocking as is his response to the reviews. I cannot imagine this is how the hotel treats their loyal customers.
Apparently the owner(s) cannot handle constructive criticism from a customer and that is not a great way to operate a business. Good luck running this business into the ground.

This was, without a doubt, the worst dinner service we?ve ever experienced. We started by ordering the potato skins, which turned out to be just regular chips. When I requested mayonnaise?as listed on the menu?we were inexplicably given vinegar instead. I tried to get the attention of the staff to correct this, but no one was paying any attention to our table. Eventually, I had to walk around the restaurant to find a waiter.
When I politely pointed out the mix-up, the waiter curtly responded, ?I?ve put the vinegar on your table already.? I clarified again that we had asked for mayonnaise, to which she snapped back, ?I?ll go and get it now.? Not only that, but although there were four of us at the table, we were only given two dips.
We also ordered a bottle of prosecco, which was simply dropped off at the table without being poured or presented. When we ordered a second bottle, the same thing happened?except this time we were given red wine glasses instead of flutes.
We also had to request for the table to be cleared after each course?multiple times. Plates were left in front of us long after we?d finished eating, and no one came by to check in or offer to clear them until we repeatedly asked.
As this was a birthday celebration, we had pre-arranged for the cake to be served after the meal. Unfortunately, this was a complete disaster. None of the staff seemed to know anything about the arrangement. After 20 minutes, someone returned to say, ?I?ve checked and you haven?t ordered any desserts.? We explained again that it was a birthday cake, already cleared with management.
When the cake finally arrived, it was brought out without plates, forks, or napkins. Once again, we had to ask for the bare essentials. And when we finally received the plates and cutlery, the plates were inexplicably warm?even though it was a cold dessert cake. There was no offer to cut the cake, take a family photo, or even remove the candle before serving.
Overall, this was a shockingly poor experience. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve future service. I?ve noticed responses to other reviews seem defensive rather than reflective, which is disappointing. At the end of the day, this is a business, and guest experiences should be taken seriously.

Went for food , which was delicious, however slow service but I believe this was down to how extremely busy the staff were . Staff very friendly and helpful. One half of our party was served their deserts and the other half waited a further 30 mins , again I believe it was due to the number of patrons that were in the restaurant..
