Why do people shop at tescos or sainsbury when identical or better items are up to a 1/3 cheaper in here? Really baffles me as to why those given off about cost of living costs have not moved supermarketsPs the produce esp fresh fruit Is SOOOOO much better also.

Managed to buy lovely hanging flower baskets from the store. That's the 3rd year in a row using flower baskets sold by Lidl

Lidl is very handy to me, find it quite competitive with the larger supermarkets. Some good deals to be had with a freebie thrown in, that's if you can actually get them or remember about them ? there are also a great variety of foods plus the additional extras eg electrical goods, outdoor clothing etc.Only disadvantage is the very long queues at times.

Had a friend take me to lidl to help me with messages. Spent £88.00! Some of the hoods were for another house so as usual asked for receipt. Teller said it was on my phone as I had used the lidl plus app....as had often before. I was aware of queue behind me soo went to the car. We got groceries packed away and I limped back to lidl . No queue at the till so I said to the teller could she get me a paper receipt but when she tried she said she couldn't. I asked could a manager so she summoned him via till. Guy came out of office...." what's up?". Neither she nor I spoke....and teller said I needed paper receipt. Can't be done he said cos other customers came thru.Well....what could I say! He didn't appear helpful nor bothered but I just said OK and left store.I have since deleted my lidl plus app. Simply cos my phone was set to NOT have digital receipt but it did.This was at 8.40 this morning. Stoll fuming !Can still shop there if I choose . Just saying!
