“I played the Bann course a couple of times last week, and it was one of the most challenging and fun 9 hole courses I've ever played. Elevation changes, doglegs in different direction, and beautiful views.I also ran into an LPGA player who was playing the Bann Course (she's played in in multiple Solheim Cups), and as far as I can tell, she was just playing the course for fun/practice (not for a particular event), so that should tell you about the quality of the course.One other thing--I was supposed to play the Mussenden (the full 18 hole course), but I wasn't feeling up to it (I was about to get hit by food poisoning later that afternoon, so maybe I was starting to feel that coming on or my 50 year old body wasn't liking me playing 27 holes per day for 5 days straight). Anyway, the pro shop couldn't have been nicer--they gave me a refund on my greens fee (this would NEVER happen in the US I suspect), and they refused to let me pay a 2nd greens fee to play the Bann course a 2nd time.So, there you have it--a beautiful and challenging course (with gorgeous views!) along with really kind and warm people in the pro shop. What more could you ask for?”
