First time ever writing a review on any premises we got a take away in this place tonight and to say it was a disgrace is an understatement I don?t no if they kept the chips and chicken from the weekend to serve on a Monday but the food was only fit for the bin and that?s exactly where it went NEVER AGAIN one star due to no option for minus stars

We arrived and all the tables had food on them from the last customers we had to clean are own table. We were wondering why a waiter was not coming to serve us then we seen others ordering at the counter, they need signs saying you need to order at the counter. The ordering was really bad a random man pushed infront of us and started having a conversation with the staff on the till. We ordered and the price was £52.49 expensive 2 of the kids ordered and 2oz burgers and they were more like 0.2oz disgraceful there was hardly any meat in the burger we got a curry chip and there was only 15 chips and the smallest bit of curry we also got a curry chip with chicken there was 4 tiny shreads of chicken there was noisy kids shouting and they were looking over to are table and making noises in our ears. Food was ok and the only thing I recommend is the Smokey Joe burger we got chicken nuggets chips kids size and there was 7 chips and 3 tiny nuggets. We will not be back worst experience and a restaurant I?ve been in. Wouldn?t recommend felt a wee bit sick after as well. It was harrendas and the workers were young and unexperients. Hatted every bit of it.

Great food. Great service. Wonderful portion. They were extra kind to us just coming in from Canada. We both had the fish dinner. The batter was perfect. The fries were crisp and tasty. Highly recommend.

Fish and chips awful the worst I have ever tasted. Both the chips and fish were over cooked to a cinder. Was going to bring it back but was hungry and thought that it would taste ok but was very wrong. Ended up throwing it in the bin wished I had returned it.

Went in and went to seated area. There was a member of staff cleaning down tables and I asked her was the seating area still open ( it was after 6pm on 18th Oct), she told me yes and to sit anywhere. I sat and waited to be served. They member of staff who was cleaning the tables, left the area and started serving ice cream. After this she came back and continued to clean the tables. They was an older man taking telephone orders and when not taking calls was chatting with customers waiting on carry out. He noticed me sitting there waiting to be served but never approached or said to another staff member to approach for service. There were then a couple more families who came on after me and where waiting to be served. The member of staff at the tables continued to clean the tables. After waiting 10 minutes and being ignored, I just got up and left. (Went to the Oak Grill instead).

Really disappointing. I haven't been in for around a year and this evening I ordered a chicken curry chip. To my surprise there was not one single shred of chicken. Just curry sauce. The chips themselves were fine but the lack of chicken left me feeling cheated and disappointed.

Ordered a Zebedee burger and panini with sauce specifically on the side, not in the panini. When the panini came with sauce in it, my partner brought it back to the shop to ask for it to be made the way I had initially ordered. He was met with rudeness and abruptness from staff who spoke dismissively and told him that they ?didn?t know whether it could be remade because they were closing soon?. Ultimately it was remade. Unfortunately, when he returned to the car to check his OWN order (the Zebedee burger), he found it to be two plain beef burger patties in a bap. No toppings. At that stage, he binned it as opposed to returning to likely be met with rudeness again. Such a disappointment as every time we?re in Castlewellan he has mentioned wanting to try Zebedee?s. Won?t be back - the female member of staff on the kitchen could probably use some politeness training but thanks to the man behind the counter who apologised when handing over the remade panini.

After having to go to 3 different countries when we asked for 2 lattes, an assistant eventually came out with a jar of instant coffee and asked if that would do. No idea what the food is like - we left after that.
