The staff and food in elgrecto was absolutely brilliant. Me and my family were down while passing through to celebrate my nannys birthday and the man serving us took his own initiative to bring nanny down the delicious cheesecake with a candle and sang her happy birthday. The staff built a brilliant atmosphere and made us feel so welcome would absolutely recommend.

I?ve honestly never left a review on a restaurant but after my experience tonight on 02/03/2025 i feel i need to! Overall the food was terrible the only good thing was the halloumi fries we had as a starter even though it lacked a dip which it needed as was dry. I had the pan fried monk fish for my main which consisted of 4 tiny pieces and tiny drips of mash. It was a starter size. The chips it came with were undercooked in dirty oil and tasted more of fish than anything else. My girlfriend had the special chicken and chorizo pasta which was bland and lacked flavour and consistency and honestly tasted of vinegar. The only redeeming feature of the experience was the customer service. The waiter was very nice and understanding when we mentioned it

Stopped here for lunch while just passing through the town and could not believe how good it was. Both our meals absolutely delicious

They have a varied menu and very friendly service.The tables are not crowded which makes it more comfortable when there are different groups.We ordered a homemade pizza, the stew and as a starter a delicious cheese and tomato toast!It's worth it ?

Beautiful food and great service but a bit disappointed in 2023/4 that they don't take card I never Cary cash and the ATM charged £3.50 and had a horrible conversion rate not to mention standing in a que in the rain waiting to lift money to pay the bill. Our waitress was a 5 star and the food was 5 star but a card machine or revolut service would be much more convenient than standing in the rain getting ripped off by the ATM and god forbid the ATM was out of order how else were we supposed to pay
