Made us stand at the door only for minutes to let us know that they are fully booked when we walked into an empty restaurant. The place did not looked booked. Maybe it?s because we have coloured skin that they didn?t let us eat there. Might be a racist place.

Made us to waiting for long outside for instead of to say that the place was already fully booked.

We had dinner at this restaurant with our family recently, and overall, the food and ambiance were excellent. The dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting?perfect for a family evening out.
However, we did have a concerning experience at the beginning. We arrived without a reservation, which we understood might make it difficult to get a table. When I approached one of the waiters to ask, he immediately told me there were no tables available as they were fully booked. That was disappointing, but fair enough.
What struck us, though, was that when my wife asked another staff member?a waitress?just moments later, she took the time to check and kindly let us know that there was in fact a table available. In fact, we noticed that there were at least 2?3 empty tables.
This inconsistency left us feeling uncomfortable, as if we were not welcomed by the first person we spoke to. It?s hard not to wonder if it had something to do with the fact that we?re not from the same country. We don?t want to jump to conclusions, but the difference in attitude between the two staff members was stark, and it made us feel like outsiders.
We?re grateful to the kind waitress who helped us, and we truly enjoyed the food. But we hope the restaurant can ensure all guests are treated with the same courtesy and care, regardless of where they?re from.

We were a family group of 10 booked for dinner.
The quaint restaurant offered wonderful welcome, suitably furnished, friendly staff, prompt service and even with one or two mishaps, everything was sorted and handled with detailed attention.
Our food was top notch and for 10 people to all be satisfied and happy, I think says a lot.

For what we got disappointing. I had turkey and ham. My wife had roast beef. The food came out quite quickly the roast beef was well cooked but was just an average Roast beef dinner The turkey and ham well.. was edible is what I will say. The ham had no flavour and the turkey was on the dry side.. it came with 3 cocktail sausages (well over cooked) 2 bacon wrapped stuffing. One was fine the other was a bit sour. Side dishes was 3 bowls for 2 people. First bowl mashed cream potatoes ( fine no complaints but I could have eaten it myself) second bowl. Parsnips and carrots 6 pieces 3 slices of carrots and 3 parsnip. bowl 3 . cauliflower with cheese sauce with melted cheese on top . They must have run out of sauce and cheese it was cauli with a bit of burnt cheese in top .. pudding for the both of us was sticky toffee pudding. We had to ask for it to be served cos the wait was getting a bit long Top of the cake was very dry and it seemed as if it had been sitting a for a couple of days everyone knows what a cake is like after a few days the bottom was moist in the caramel sauce , sauce was fine. Over all rating for a £60 plus meal for 2. 5/10. First time in 30 years we did not leave a tip..

We have had many visits to Tartine when up on the North Coast and never been disappointed. Went twice last week for the early menu. My husband had the steak on both occasions and it was cooked to perfection. I had the chicken and pork. Puddings were lovely. The service was very. Booking is definitely advisable. Favourite restaurant in Bushmills.

We visited following a tour of Bushmills Distillery. We had booked a table two days in advance. As it is a popular restaurant booking recommended during the summer months.
We both enjoyed the early evening two course offer, choosing main and dessert. Large portions with prices standard for North Coast restaurants, during our stay in Portrush.
Unfortunately one server was disinterested literally throwing the menu onto the table covering the tealight candle. I had to remove it quickly to avoid a fire!

First class Sunday lunch. Have eaten in many places all over the North Coast and Tartine is definitely the best. Every part of our lunch was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Food was subpar especially for the price. Service was good. Wouldn?t recommend unless you?re in a bind.

Absolutely disappointing!!!
We used to love this place but it's recently been such a mega let down.
I bet Gary is not cooking in the kitchen much or perhaps when we show up.
We arrived here on the 21/5/25 and got a meal from hell.
I ordered sirloin that came with chips and onion rings. The onion rings were massively over cooked and extremely hard. The chips were hard and seemed like they were reheated, or kept warm in a warmer for a long time, just too dry and hard. I asked for medium/rare steak and got a steak well done....I showed the server and she noted that it was indeed well done and apologised and sent it back. 5 mins later I got a very dirty looking steak with lots of filthy black bits stuck to it ( not like the first steak). It was not seasoned i.e pepper, salt etc but it was just cooked in a dirty pan. HOWEVER THIS STEAK WAS ALSO OVER COOKED (can be seen in attached photos. It was medium well to well done.
The server asked if everything was ok and I told her no and explained. She said she could take it back to get another sent out. I said my wife is nearly finished her dinner and I am so very very hungry and can't wait any longer. I ate it but I was very very disappointed. I have been going here for 15+ years and my mother who was the head chef at the Culloden in Belfast always loved coming here and recommended this place. She would be turning in her grave to know how much it has changed as it was her favourite place to eat.
This will unfortunately have to be our last time as this has happened 3x out of the last 5 times I have been here.
I honestly don't think it's Gary who is cooking here anymore but some young inexperienced chefs.
A very sad meal out for my wife's and I 10th wedding anniversary.......and it was supposed to be a special time.

They sent us away saying that they are full, when almost half of the tables were empty. I dont know if its because we were in hiking clothes or if it is going to be full later indeed.. But at least a question if we want to drink or eat would have been nice.

We have just had an amazing Sunday lunch at the Tartine in Bushmills. The menu is really creative, especially for vegetarians and vegans, with two veggie and one vegan starter, one veggie and two vegan mains and six deserts, one of which was vegan. had the red wine poached pear starter which was light and full of flavour, followed by the Tomato and basil Tofu crumb. My wife had the Beef Brisket, which she really enjoyed as the meat just fell apart. The mains came with seasonal vegetables and roast and mash potatoes. The tofu crumb was so light and flavoursome. The meals were full of flavour, perfect roast potatoes, creamy light mash and vegetables still holding their crunch. We were defeated by the portions and despite the deserts looking equally exciting as the starters and mains, we had to decile. First class service from the staff who seemed to love their work and great classic cooking all round. The restaurant was light and welcoming, as was the ambience enhanced by the right level and selection of the background music. A perfect experience and it must be the best restaurant in the area and the best meal we have had over the last twelve days touring Ireland, and we have had some excellent meals.
