I wouldn't normally do online reviews but I thought my experience deserved one.
I had Lasik laser eye surgery with Optical Express through the Thanks A Million campaign(I have had astigmatism for more years than I can remember).
From my initial contact with customer service/care to my consultation with Optical Express Belfast(Vantage) to having the surgery at Optical Express Manchester(St John St) the professional/friendly and reassuring service I received was exceptional, literally faultless.
I had my last follow up appointment today with optometrist Claire and after tests I now have better than 20/20 vision, I would encourage anyone who is considering laser eye surgery to get in touch with Optical Express, they will immediately put you at ease and offer advice/direction for going forward.
It's like living in HD.

I want to thank all the staff at Optical Express, Belfast for the friendly welcome I got when I first enquired about cataract surgery. This continued through the many eye tests that I had to have to ensure that I was suitable for this kind of procedure. I couldn't help but be impressed by the competence of everyone involved in all of this, from the receptionists at the front desk right through to the surgeon who did the actual operation ( all virtually pain free)
So I have no hesitation in recommending Optical Express to anyone contemplating eye surgery, and another reason is that they were not the most expensive option. Many thanks again. SH.

Just had my second cateract done after getting my first one done back in May. I could not fault the Belfast team on both surgeries. Afterwards I couldn't believe how much I could see it was amazing. Both teams made me feel so comfortable and ease. Thank you to Dr Kiss and Dr Gupta and all the girls and guys.

Excellent experience at the Belfast clinic today, was looked after by Jenny and Claire, really thorough examination of my eyes and consultation of options available to be. It turned out that I am a suitable candidate but would see much better results in a few years, I am very appreciative of their honest opinion, definitely no hard sell. Very positive experience and I?ll definitely recommend to my friends and family.

My experience to date of Optical Express in Belfast (Vantage building) has been excellent. From my initial consultation, to my surgery yesterday, staff have been professional,. knowledgeable and caring. They made me feel at ease (I went for LASIK alone, in both eyes). In less than 24 hours my vision has been improved significantly...I am hopeful that this will continue to improve. For anyone thinking about vision correction...take the consultation. This will definitely help you make an informed decision; there was no pressure at mine to commit to surgery, just an opportunity to leave well informed.

I went through the lens replacement surgery which was a surprisingly comfortable surgery with little pain. However was disappointed with the outcome. Its almost 1 year since operation, yes my eyesight has much improved with no requirement of spectacles. But the downside is that I developed dry eye and a sensitivity to light with having to wear sunglasses outside during daylight hours regardless the weather. Night time driving is almost impossible as car lights take up the whole of the road. Optical Express have offered post op appointments and have advised that this will ease with time as everyone heals at a different pace. They have since discharged me but i will have another appointment before the year is up. Knowing what I know now I have regrets

I?d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Optical Express Belfast for their incredible care and support before, during, and after my treatment. From start to finish, they made me feel completely at ease every step of the way, answering all my questions and ensuring I was comfortable throughout the whole process.
I highly recommend Optical Express to anyone considering treatment - if you?re thinking about doing it, just go for it! It truly is the best decision I have ever made.
I go on a lot of holidays, so getting rid of glasses and contact lenses has been absolutely life changing. Waking up and being able to see straight away, and swimming without worrying about poor vision is a game changer!

Easy to find, close to Grand Central Station. Prompt and courteous reception staff. Comfortable waiting facility.
Opticians and nurses professional and friendly.
Procedures fully explained and allayed all nervous concerns.
Treatment and back up service was excellent.
