Where do I begin ? I think the MACE really came into its own during COVID. They recognised what their customers needed and provided for them in every way. The staff are always friendly and courteous but none more so than Andy the postmaster. In the run up to Christmas 2023, I had him tortured with my Amazon deliveries. I like to think that I played my part too by picking up my parcels promptly because the space they work out of is very small. However Andy had the space well organised and even if I was at the back of the queue he had my parcel ready and waiting for me.He?s an absolute GEM and the MACE is a wonderful community hub ?

Very disappointed with the state of the store, the staff and products.1. Always be careful with discounted products as they are never discounted in their tills and if you don't pay attention you pay full price2. Not once i found expired products in the store. Twice this has happened with chocolate boxes3. Staff is completely unprofessional and lack massively in training and customer service.4. They do not care or value for long term customers

Delighted to find the new Denny Meat Free range in Newton Park Mace; sausages, mince and burgers, all carrying the vegan society trademark (all delicious). Also fantastic vegan biscuits from Farmhouse Biscuits brand. Other great vegan products are Applewood smoked cheese, nan breads, mayonnaise and plant milks. I've not seen some of these particular vegan brands in other shops - it's good to to be able to buy something different. Plus there's a decent selection of fresh fruit/veg, lentils/beans, herbs/spices and gourmet worldwide foods. The in-store Post Office is handy as well and there's a coffee counter, newspapers, plants, and lots more - a place where it's possible to do a full weekly shop and get absolutely everything you need. I'm impressed and will be shopping here regularly as long as the vegan items remain...

As a typical convenience store, this branch makes use of the footpath, displaying seasonal requirements and advertising the availability of trollies. Within the shop, the variety is fresh and pleasant, adhering to the Mace standards and at the same time are able to promote local produce at reflective costs.MACE delivers everyday low prices on a wide range of convenience store essentials and promotes the ethos of Musgrave Group Ltd.Overall friendly, clean, fresh and obliging environment with perfect staff. As a wheelchair user, assistance was very forthcoming, many thanks for the acknowledgement. Definitely 5 ?.

Sells a wide rane of goods from newspapers, baked goods, drinks, chilled and frozen food. I prefer tesco metro myself but is handy if you are all ready down at the shops here.
