I never post bad reviews but after collecting an order this evening I feel I have to. I ordered a gluten free meal and it was perfect. I also ordered a sweet curry chip, a chinese curry chip and chicken goujons. I don't know what the sauce was on the first chip. The other chip was gravy and the chicken was overcooked. The chips were small and crispy. It went in the bin and it wasn't cheap at almost £34!! I definitely won't be back.

Made an online order for our family of 7 this evening to be collected at 6.40pm. I arrived just before 6.30pm and my order was already bagged and given to me straight away. I wouldn't like to have come at the correct time!
My order was quite large, and expensive, and I had a feeling when I picked up the bag that it was lighter than I expected. Got home and discovered that 2 chicken burgers weren't there. Tried to phone bit was cut off. Went straight back to shop. Thankfully I don't live far away! The staff I explained my problem to were very unresponsive and didn't apologize until I was leaving the shop with the rest of my order 15 minutes later. The burgers were on the order and had been missed in the original order.
Eventually when I was able to eat my food, after my family except for one had all eaten, our consensus on the food's quality was that it wasn't as good as it has been in the past! Such a disappointing experience! Wish I'd read some of the more recent reviews before spending quite a lot of money these days on takeaways! ?

We really like John Dorys as it does gluten free options which we need. The food is almost always very good (occasionally the goujons are very small or really overdone). However, the app is a nuisance. You are pushed to order in the app, and get a tenth meal free - but when you try to order your tenth meal you can't enter the code they give you if the order is £25, as the app automatically applies £5 off as a family offer and you then can't enter your code for £30 or whatever. You can't take the family offer off. So frustrating. I have told the staff several times and they've been lovely about it, have taken my number and said they get someone to call me. No one ever has though. The codes have a use by date so I've lost all over £100 on offers that their own system stops me using. Must happen to others too.
Today the app isn't allowing me to order any gluten free 'meals' or 'house favourites'. I've had to phone through instead - I explained about the app and they are aware of issues - I asked if the family discount at least could be added but told no, only if using the app!! So frustrating, but it's the only takeaway we can get for our family due to food allergies. I really think I've had enough of the broken systems at this point though. Just looked back and we spend (embarrassingly!) £600 a year here.

Ordered a single chip and asked for salt, vinegar and tomato ketchup. There was that much ketchup the chips were look warm, saturated in tomato ketchup. Binned.

Got their chicken goujons and the batter on every one of them was real rubbery on one side and hard on the other. Inedible. Think Gordon Ramsey is overdue a visit here.

Just visited the Carryduff store to order a Chicken Kebab Wrap ?Meal??.£13.50 for the privilege. Take the term ?meal? with a serious pinch of salt; once I got home and started putting it out, this is the amount of chips included in the meal. £13.50 for a kebab and chips is on the high side but to receive this genuinely feels like you?ve been ripped off.
