Belated review that I promised to leave ? I've been dining in Dundonald's Blue Chigago for the better part of a decade now and I couldn't recommend a better place. A tranquil setting, really nice and attentive servers, food that never seems to miss a beat, and easy parking. I couldn't recommend the place enough and will always be the first place I ever tried a proper steak... (Sorry Mum ?)

My recent visit was quite disappointing. The food was served luke warm in a sizzler that didn?t sizzle as it should have, and the sweet chili cubes were cold, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, all the plates and bowls were plastic, which didn?t enhance the dining experience. Overall, the place has gone downhill, and the customer service was poor. I wouldn?t recommend this at all and suggest considering other options for a better dining experience.

Just experienced the worst service and food I've ever had here, I'm so disappointed. We arrived admit 12.45 and it was quiet but no1 seemed to care we were standing there waiting to be seated for ages with a baby who needed food. The girls priority was standing in the kitchen talking or standing on her phone.
We eventually got seated and ordered all fine but my daughters wrap came she had one bite and it was gross and made her feel sick. It didn't seem fresh and really wasn't too the standard we're use to getting here. I said to the girl and she didn't seem to care and said she should of told her when she gave it to her but with her anxiety she's not able to again she didn't care about that part either. I had sat waiting for someone to check in on us and to get the bill but there was only one girl walking around only interested in cleaning tables when my baby was upset and we needed to go we were totally ignored. It was such a stressful situation and it felt like the staff just didn't want to be there and it totally ruined our rare lunch dates we get all together. Seems like they need a manager to come in and put some customer service in place.

A favourite diner style restaurant of ours. No nonsense quality food, big portions, quick service decent prices. There's something for everyone. It's not fine dining or Michelin Starred but who wants to eat a turned carrot on a bed of Celeriac.

Fast, friendly service and tasty food.
The cajun mushroom starter and burgers (one beef and one vegetarian) we ordered were delivered quickly, came in decent sized servings and were delicious.
For me, the only down side was the US-style range of beer available was fairly limited.

We have never had a bad meal in it and the service has always been good. The only thing I find wrong and not just with this restaurant but quite a lot, the chefs don't wear the nets on their heads or beards. It's quite off putting, everyone should wear either the nets or baseball caps to stop hair potentially getting into the food.

Haven't ate here in a few years, we went back last week for food on a Saturday afternoon. Place was busy but quickly got a table. I got the steak & my husband got the ribs and chicken combo, food was so so good, often places steak can be tough etc but this was a really good steak, lovely chips. Also a big benefit, toilets, tables and floors spotless clean, gives you confidence the kitchen etc will be well kept also.

Blue Chicago is a fantastic place for lunch or dinner, offering delicious food that?s sure to satisfy. We ordered burgers and chicken, along with some dishes for my friend?s child to enjoy on Sunday dinner. Everything was flavorful, perfectly prepared, and served with care. The menu has a great variety, with something for everyone. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently excellent. All of this came to £49, which is a great value for the quality and service. The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The gentleman who served us took the time to ask if everything was okay, which was a thoughtful touch. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. The place is impeccably clean, and even the toilet was spotless, which is always a nice touch. Of course, we left a tip because people like this deserve it. Highly recommend this spot for great food, excellent service, and a comfortable, well-maintained environment!
