My mother was told her car would need new brake cylinders, wipers and work to the driver's seat to pass the MOT. There wasn't time to cancel the appointment or carry out the work before it, so Mum took the car through - and passed. The MOT inspector assured Mum that none of the faults supposedly found by the garage existed.
