Was in Bloomfield today 16/11/24 absolutely Baltic in it. Left after 20mins. Staff at different stalls in the mall had to sit with their coats on. It?s coming into the winter. Need to put heat on, not aircon.

An elderly lady with wavy/curly hair was very rude towards my mother.
My mother and I attend the cafe in the evening, was served by a lovely young lady. Shortly while my mother and I mind our own business this elderly lady came close to our table and was making a lot of loud bang nosies around our table and kept staring at my mother.
My mother felt uncomfortable then informed me we need to drink up our drinks as she felt that the cafe may be closing very soon.
But I reassured my mother we still have 45 mins left and there is roughly 4/5 more new customers coming in after we sat down having our drinks.
The elderly lady felt that she still has to stared at my mother to the point she felt uncomfortable and questioning is it because we were the only Asians people at the cafe and we were not welcoming from her? My mum asked the lady if she is okay as she wouldn?t stop looking at her and the elderly lady storm toward my mother and I and sharply say if my mum is okay and I quickly questioning the lady of why was she kept staying at my mother and she said my mum was staying at her too and I responded that it?s because she would not stop staring at my mum and it is making her feel uncomfortable and kept making nosies around our table and our table only. When I was defending my mother she quickly realised that all the customers and the other two young staff are questioning of what is going on as we came in and mind our own business and was very friendly back to all the staff members.
The elderly lady then apologised to my mother but I felt that the apology was not sincerely and felt that she had too because everyone was looking at her.

Typical coffee chain fare. Tables can be left dirty for a long time. During one visit a crowd of teenagers took over the area i was in. The manager eventually challenged them by saying one of them had to buy something. But a quiet coffee was ruined for me because i sat in what was really the school playground and not as first impressions indicated, a coffee shop.

I always visit this Costa as it is my local branch. always get same thing. Extra hot hot chocolate hubby get extra hot latte. Last night, 8th Dec 2023. It my drink was cold. Asked to heat it a little the girl was fuming. She returned it to me practically threw it at me. Then gave us daggers until we left. Hubby's latte was like water. Havenever had an episode like this. Didn't seem to be a manager on was all young girls and 1 boy. Standing around on their fones. Xmas is bad enough without being treated like that.

I waited in front of a young girl, waiting to place my order. She was texting on her phone, looked up, acknowledged me and went back to her phone. A young guy was working on other orders.She eventually came off her phone and started taking sandwiches out of a basket and lining them up on the counter. She still did not speak to me. I turned to walk out and spoke to the girls behind me...she them threw all the sandwiches backing the basket. The other lady asked for help and she said sorry, she was busy and walked off!!!???? Ultimate service. I have been in many Costa Coffee shops across the country but this place manages to fill the gap of a local coffee shop where the staff know everyone, with the excellent service of a large company. Been here several times with my mum and dad and the service is outstanding, thankyou June for taking care of us. All I can say is this lady is an asset to this business. Fantastic

I was in with a friend who has a dairy intolerance and I went up to order us coffee. I politely asked if they had any diary free products so I could get something for my friend and I?m not sure of their menu. There is a sign that states to ask members of staff for help with dietary requirements. The response was ?are you joking don?t be stupid!? Loudly in front of a busy cafe. I was so taken back I didn?t know what to say and then seen a product at the till that said milk free so I just got it. Anything vegan would have sufficed and I suspect a franchise as large as Costa Coffee would have a couple of vegan options. I think the service and to make me look like an idiot was just terrible and the staff there need urgent training on costumer service and diet requirements.
