I have been with the halifax for a number of years, went into the branch at wellingborough to open more savings accounts wanted to put a large amount of my inheritance in there, was told by this person you have to do it on line, we do not have brilliant Internet at home, this woman was rather rude, so I am going to take my business else where

I don't bank here myself but Halifax used to be a building society until it floated on the Stock Exchange. Some time later it merged with the Bank of Scotland to form HBOS.

Woman / girl on cash counter refused to take a money deposit saying "no MONEY deposit can be taken over the countrr only through the machine" LIAR ... I asked her to repeat which she did, so I wasn't miss hearing and there was nobody waiting behind me.

halifax home insurance - complete rubbish. 78 year old living in a house where rain water in the roof is coming into the building. Halifax told me my emergency insurance cover does not cover me for same day emergency cover - i have to wait almost 48 hours for any help ? i know they will never get any more business from me. next renewal, i will not be using HALIFAX HOME insurance.
