The gym is great, lots of new equipment, haven?t done a class yet, but the changing rooms are a little tired

The membership side of this gym is awful. Admin/Sales team are never available when you call up, they take ages to reply to emails or just don?t respond.Extremely difficult to cancel your membership. My reasons for needing to cancel were valid in the contract and it still took over 4 months to sort! They passed it onto a debt agency despite the fact I was in constant contact with the gym via email? they just don?t check them! Managed to sort and cancel with no charge but this was only due to the debt company being understanding and seeing this gym for the joke of a company they are.Awful experience and extremely stressful. Would not recommend.

It really depends on what time you visit, and you need to find what atmosphere gels most for you. I'm a morning person and absolutely love going to the gym first thing, the staff are lovely - no matter what time of day you go - the classes have had a bit of a cull recently which has upset those who loved the evening aqua classes, but on the whole there are classes to suit everyone of all different abilities. It could do with a refurbishment. It's got tiles missing in the jacuzzi and is a bit worn looking in places, but on the whole, it's a great gym. The people really make it for me, and everyone I have met there have been super lovely. The weights in the studio were upgraded after covid with Les Mills equipment, and they are so much better to use.Yoga is very popular, and the Wednesday eve and Saturday morning tutor is amazing, I always learn something from him and would highly recommend his class.Body pump is also a really good class, a great way to start a Wednesday morning, and circuits is also a fab class. It does sometimes depend on the instructor, but with a little constructive feedback, they are willing to listen.Apart from regular air con issues, it's a great gym, and the staff are lovely.

Recently joined after debating between the local, cheaper options. I'm happy with my choice. It's slightly more adult focused than other local centres, and so it is rare to have loud children in the pool. The pool also doesn't ever get too busy, even in peak periods. The pool has a lovely window so you can still see the outside which is nice. There jaccuzi is fantastic, and really helps after a hard workout. Same to be said for the sauna and steam rooms.Changing rooms are spacious, with most of the showers being nice and hot. Again never loud or busy.Gym areas are great, particularly love that you can look out the 3rd floor windows when on the treadmill to nice views of hills. The equipment in the gym works well and there's plenty to go around. I've never had to wait to use any.Lastly the food and drinks are lovely. Do wish there were more options for weight loss versus muscle gain though.Lastly would like toilets, especially a disabled toilet, at closer access to the pool. You have to walk all the way through the changing rooms whilst soaking wet to use the loo if in the pool, which isn't ideal.Overall find it relaxing here. Wish it was cheaper and that Zumba classes weren't just run during standard office hours.

Lovely staff, always say Good morning to me which is so nice first thing! Great equipment perfect for my needs. The gym itself and the changing rooms are kept very clean and tidy. Yet to try the pool/sauna etc.

Not worth the money. Clean and friendly staff can't fault that but needs a refit and jacuzzi but most the tv or sky sport .May not be a big problem but if ya get bored easily nothing there to keep you going. Just need s abit refit and wish they would let off peak member go in at like 8pm as to me that isn't a peak time . But been going on and off for a number of years

Recently joined this gym, it's ok better than a lot of other gyms I have used in the past. I used to go to Virgin nearby and it is better but it is more expensive hence I will try Bannatyne for a year.Soon as you walk in you come across the cafe, which looks a bit outdated but comfy nevertheless. Staff seems pleasant but did not explain to me how to use the contactless system. So it's all about me doing trial and error. The changing rooms is big and clean. The swimming pool is a bit small and can get crowded. Jacuzzi is also small and often crowded even during off peak. The gym floor on the second floor (with weights and resistance machines) is a bit small. Only 1 of each resistance machine such as leg abductor, lat pull down, shoulder press, chest press. So if it is crowded you pretty much have to wait to use it. The free weights area is far too small and crowded even during off peak. No space for me to lay down and do my bodyweight exercises or do lunges as I feel like I'm getting in other people's way. The cardio equips on the top floor is spacious enough and never crowded during off peak. Has a nice view whilst you on the treadmill and wanted something to look at during the tedious exercise.Overall, ok gym. For the price I really expected a bit more. Gym too small in my honest opinion, and the reasons why I gave the gym 3 stars was because tampon machine in toilet is outdated and empty. Shower gel in shower cubicles also empty. And this is at 9am when they just opened things should have been topped up.

Lovely pool, good sized family changing facilities. Great gym and a really nice smoothy bar for afterwards.

Club is getting a bit old and dated now. Not all lockers and showers work, nothing to show for price increases over the years. Weight area gets busy, not enough space or weight equipment. Overall though it is a nice club and friendly welcoming staff/people.

2 words! VAL KIPLIN!Absolutely incredibleBest csr srv ive ever had!Her warm welcome! Her lovely smileHer warm energyHer knowledgeThis facility is very nice.Everything n everywhere was spotless! No matter how i tried, i jus cdnt find fault!N im a picky fussy one!Bannatyne centres are rated on a '12 tier' system each tier has a group of locations in it where youcan cross use centres.Tier 1 is at the top and is the most expensive at £59pm, for full access, off peak is obv cheaper n with no wkends!Wbro is tier 8 at £49pm for full accessTiers 1-7 only have a few centres in them, however from tier 8-12 theres loads of centres in each, you can cross use centres on ur tier or beneath, if u want to cross use in a tier above urs u pay extra, its nominal, between £3-£10 (£10 was for tier 1)The cafe\lounge area was all spotless, n comfortable n even tho near the door, was kept at a comfortable temp.I dnt kno how expensive the cafe was but val said it was reasonable n that members get 10% off everything. They sell swim\gym wear, PRICEY!I suggested they sell Body Chamois too, which are basically rubber towels like a car chammy, they are increds! Dont need a towel with these, kps u cool if u r hot, kps u hot if u r cold, sucks up ALL water immediately like magic! Brilliant! The pool is long n narrow, 20 mtrs, a gd lenth2 swim lanes which have direction arrows so you circle the lane, max 2 ppl per swim lane i think altho it could prob work with 4.The rest of the pool is a free for all but also operates a direction policy, so those that want to swim can circle, n ppl can still walk or stretch in the middle, it kps the pool moving smoothly, so everyone who wants to swim, can.Its a good idea n works well. The jacuzi was 'large' id say 6 ppl. Steam\sauna gr8 size, easily 10-15 ppl, all on poolside. The changing rooms were spacious, spotless n fresh, swim suit spinner, tissues, shwr gel, driers, net baby cot the norm, big wide tall lockers, armband system with armband reader on wall.Showers looked powerful, but press on button so u nd to kp pressing the button, lol, toilets were fresh n clean. The gym has 2 floors, a fair size, has everything anyone would want, everything was spotless, water fountains were visible, even tho the upstairs treadmills were facing a window, which would normally give rise to major concerns about uv issues and retinal sun damage issues, the windows were only half windows so the top wall served as a perfect sun visa completely blocking the sun from ur eyes n face! Perfect! The studios were big, fresh n well equipped!Virtual screens with loads of programs to boot!Gym balls were in studio, i suggested a toe bar to hook ur feet under so u can do pilates crunches on the ball, ie huk ur toe under the bar n lean backwards to very small calm slow pulses.Spin studio was spotless n well equipped.Journey there, well drivin is always gonna b easiest n its easy to get to by car, however,i wanted somewhere i could get to by bus too as i share a car, n u can get the bus (i use x4 towards Northampton) u can get get off in twn n walk up hardwick road, brickhill, then use the walkway on wordsworth rd {40mins} which takes u to the back side of the gym, or u can stay on the bus a bit longer till it goes up northampton rd, u can get off the stop after kingsway, b4 the sainsbury, cross over n walk up stanwell rd, also onto wordsworth rd (15 min) n use the same walkway, the walkway was dotted with street lights but i went in the day so not sure how bright they are so always walk with a torch and turn on ur 'one scream' app! LolSo all in all, i think im gonna join, my local one closed dwn (Hi to those joining from Balance in Kettering! Lol) n this is the nx best option, only a tenna more than wat i was paying n much the same standard if u ask me!The travel time is double n the extra cost of travel needs to b considered, but if i can mk all that wrk its worth joining.I got till midnight to decide if i want to get the no joining fee n 1st month half price deal! Thanks for reading all this, hope it helps

It's OK. I enjoy the classes and the spa area is top notch however it's in need of some tlc. Changing rooms a bit worn out, locks missing from cubicle doors and some gym equipment old and broken.

Im now a member there but don?t think I?ll be for too long. The place needs a massive refurb. Showers look like prison cells. With a good refurb it would be a very nice place once again.

Well kept. Very nice sauna and steam rooms. The pool is amazing, the spa bath was great. Changing rooms are super spacious and comfortable. Staff on reception are super friendly. The cleaning staff though, they were kind of rude. Not sure if they're underpaid or if it's just a bad job. But they were very unpleasant towards myself, my partner and others whilst we were there. Nothing too bad, just snappy and making demands. We were made to feel slightly guilty for getting changed in the changing rooms. Not a huge issue, wouldn't stop us going again. But what's the point of a review if you don't point these things out.

Lovely spacious gym and pool, not too busy midweek. Shame no food available other than protein bars and chocolate.
