Service a bit slow but food very good and great value for money. Would recommend the steak pasty and BLT!

We have been here while visiting family a few times - there is a kids park and some nice walks that are generally accesable on the site.Parking is charged though via pay and display, there is no blue badge dispensation even though the site is run by the local council. The Cafe is great - a nice coffee for a couple of pounds, and some amazing home made cakes. Including a gluten free and even vegan options. They offer other food items as well - the hot pastys like saussage rolls seam popular. Wish there was more places like this, with friendly staff.

My wife and I love the park itself but the cafe wasn?t that great. The prices are on a par with most others, so not cheap. The first let down was the tea. It came nicely presented in a pot with a jug of milk. Unfortunately the milk was ghastly UHT, not proper fresh milk and I can still taste it now, several hours later. My wife had a bacon roll which she said was quite nice but the bacon was a bit hard. We each had a hot sausage roll which were not particularly and a bit rigid but very hot - best described as cheap commercial variety. Not great for £10.50.

Nice range of things to eat and drink. Prices are reasonable. Coffee is really good. Cake choice is also good. Nice seating area outside. This cafe is well worth a visit.

The Skylark Café at Fermyn Woods Country Park is new to us but I've been very impressed by the quality of their food and their lovely baked goods, all made on site.We had a good walk around the longest trail today and headed for the café when we got back as it was lunchtime by then. The panini and a cheese and onion scone were excellent, particularly the scone, which like so much here, is made on site by the women working in the kitchen. Two teas and a slice of their coffee and walnut cake for seconds! The sponge was really light and we sat discussing when we'd had as nice a piece of cake as that recently! Impressive, very impressive!!The two women working in the café give you a really good welcome and on a sunny day the outside picnic tables are a lovely place to sit. We'll be back, for certain. Great country park and superb café!!
