Dean and his colleagues were so helpful - i travelled a long way to collect a car for my mum and the car was just as described. Very trustworthy, nothing was too much trouble, they organised work on the car before I collected, and I was very happy. Highly recommend Rushden Motors.

I needed a reliable car for school runs for my wife. I find them very professional and recommended me a great car. After buying I had few minor issues one specifically with the heating which is very important as winters are kicking in, they were very prompt and professional to respond and resolved my issue. Perfectly happy would highly recommend them.

Really happy with the customer service. Bought a Nissan Qashqai from them, really happy with the car. The salesman was really helpful in addressing all my issues and concerns. My drive away insurance and car tax was completed by the dealership which made it possible to drive away the car straightaway as I did not want to come back. Highly Recommended.

Shocking, bought an insignia from these, told me it had just been seeviced by themselves, fast forward a year gone to get an oil change, and unable to do as sump plug is rounded off. Oil is 0% life left, so cannot use the car as it's probably going to require a new sump. Completely dishonest over this car, this is after they "lost" the service history.AVOID.

Avoid like the plague.I bought a 2013 Ecoboost Focus with 48,000 miles in August 2022. I paid over the odds but with inflated used car prices, it was to be expected. The first issue was the lack of service boom, which wasn?t available during purchase. However, after several weeks of chasing, they finally sent it to me. No major issues there then. However, now the big problem - the car. Having travelled back home to Southampton the car developed a pretty serious fault, which was apparently traced to the DMF (flywheel). Rushden coughed up the £900 for the local repair suspiciously quickly. The DMF was replaced, but this didn?t cure the issue. Over the next few months I continued back and forth with Rushden, with them palming the issue off as 3cyl rattle, something minor, etc.Around December time the noise was almost painful as the car pulled away, with the box frequently not going into gear. Fast forward to January I had had enough. I drove to a garage I have a good relationship with, and asked them to find the problem, no matter the cost. At first, the gear linkage was suspected, but this soon proved to not be the fault. Continuing the investigation, the garage turned to the gearbox tunnel, and found several shocking things. The heater matrix was leaking badly, and covered in zip ties. All of the panels around the tunnel and dash had broken clips, with someone definitely having been there before to carry out a bodged repair. The garage suspected the entire tunnel and central console had been switched out with another car, describing the car Rushden sold to me as a ?lemon?.I bought the car for just under £7,000 and sold it for £3,500. In 2,000 miles and 6 months I lost 50% of the cars value.Upon some further investigation, the car had been purchased by the previous owner in June 2022 and sold in July 2022, meaning Rushden?s claimed ?one previous owner? was clearly false, with the car having been through the auctions before Rushden bought it.Whilst I cannot prove Rushden knew about the defects, I find the fact a used car dealer was willing to cough up £1000 overnight for a repair so suspicious, that I am certain they knew the car had at least some degree of damage.I chose not to go down the route of contacting them, or the Ombudsman, instead swallowing the £3,500 loss and buying another car from a main dealer. I have proof of conversations and phone calls, in case their reply should match the other negative reviews.I don?t ask that you take my word for this, however, I simply ask you this - do you want to risk purchasing a car from them with your money, after reading my experience? Thanks Rushden, for such an honest and positive experience with buying my first car.EDIT in response - Rushden state that the previous owner bought the car in 2017, before being sold in 2022. The car is a 2013, so why about the 4 years beforehand?Rushden also refused to pay any fuel costs for me to travel up during my busy schedule. They wanted me to drive from Southampton to Rushden (130 miles each way) for them to have a look, offering no further assistance besides this. How would I, a new driver, have felt embarking on a 3 hour motorway journey with a potentially faulty vehicle?
