I would strongly advise considering whether to enter into a contract with Connells Rushden or any local Connells group estate agent, if you are selling a leasehold property. I had intracesies relating to the leasehold ground rent terms on my property, which caused previous sales under Connells Group estate agents to fall through (twice), which myself and my solicitor brought to attention of the Rushden Connells branch, right at the beginning of the sale process and throughout, which we're TOTALLY ignored until the sale ultimately fell through. There was little in the way of 'customer service'. Their limited communication was very blunt, especially from branch manager Kelly and Richard. At the end of the sale, I just had a cold blunt email and asking me if I'll be giving my notice on the contract - nothing in the way of any condolence that they couldn't assist with my sale. Very cold, little communication and when they did contact me it was cold and stand-offish. When I did explain to Kelly that I find her responses very cold and blunt, she totally ignored that part of my email and continued stating other details in a totally 'off' manner. Customer service management isn't something that the branch manager is good at demonstrating to a high standard and it's clearly not a priority for upskilling herself or her team in this area.

I had the opportunity to get help from Richard during our mortgage application, all I can say is that he?s very good and professional, I would highly recommend him to everyone who wants to have a smooth experience during their mortgage application. We?ve been battling to secure our house since February, and throughout the entire process, they have gone above and beyond at every step. The journey wasn?t easy, as the sellers were messing us around, but Connells never gave up.

We would NOT recommend Connells estate agents Rushden.
We had our property on the market from May to October 2024 (26 weeks) & only received 4 viewings without receiving much feedback.
Connells were obviously struggling to create much interest in our house & we asked if we could share our property & go multi-agency in August. Disappointedly they wouldn't agree to this as we had signed into a sole agency agreement, which they didn't make clear on signing the contract, so beware when signing with this estate agent, we've learned our lesson & will be double checking the next contract we sign into.
(Maybe they didn't want the competition from another estate agent & now have missed the commission from not selling our house!)
We wanted to reduce the price of our house to help refresh interest,& Connells advise on reducing the price of our house was by 2.5% placing our property in a very odd price bracket which we believe also hasn't help sell!!
Overall very unprofessional service, very little feedback or advise not hearing from Connells for weeks & weeks.

I used Richard at connells for my mortgage, although my house was not sold via connells. Richard was amazing, very attentive always had answer to every question. In my case was extremely proactive to speak to the mortgage company direct to make sure there would no issues. I could not recommend Richard enough. Simple, easy and hassle free. !
