Have bought lots of DIY Tool and materials in here over the years. They certainly need to invest in self-service as the tills are almost always understaffed, but selection and price is ok.Don?t bother for kitchens? go to HowdensWe found the in store duty manager to be rude and blunt with us after buying over £1k of kitchen units. Not once did any of their staff offer to help with moving the flatpack units, infact walking past watching us struggle. They could have easily upsold us as there was an offer on if we would have spent £1500, but no, not interested.We did infact take the units back to take advantage of the offer, and were actually going to buy more units, but were told ?why you not speak to kitchen consultant?. In those words exactly. We were also told that they couldn?t get the extra units we needed as they needed a forklift driver who didn?t work that day. Here is an idea, why don?t you setup the ?consultation?, tell us about your offers, offer a solution, or actually provide some ?service?, rather than telling your customer they are wrong, saying they have to come back etc. They seemed more interested in actually refunding us for all the units than trying to get our business. To give them the benefit of the doubt i did get a kitchen consultant to cone round and measure up and we had some figures told to us over the phone but the guy went on holiday and we needed to move fast to have it done before Christmas. I will give him praise where it?s due he did point us in the right direction for surfaces.So in the end we went with howdens as they were able to act much faster and we were able to use our own installer, who we trusted which saved us thousands.Wickes really dropped the ball here, as we spent nearly £3k with Howdens, and overall our kitchen will be £6-7k. Money they obviously aren?t interested in.

Stock says 19 items, only need 6 so head across town. Only got 4!!! Lucky I never done click and collect or would have to wait days for refund.Off to Rushden it isClick and collect, shows 7, get there and they haven?t. 3 days before you get money back

On a scale, this is somewhere between Homebase and B&Q. For home DIY there's a very good chance you'll get what you need and of the three big DIY stores, Wickes is probably the cheaper.

Good stockof items for both the DIY and Trade customers.You can also order online to pick up in store. Which is very helpful as they send you a text when your item/items are ready for collection

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the 2 staff members that helped load and unload my trolley when I visited today with my baby in a sling! It was so kind of you to help me out - frankly I don't know how I thought I was going to manage on my own ? it meant a lot that you were there waiting for me at the till to assist.

Had what we wanted (large sheet materials), but trying to manoeuvre our trolley to the checkout was a nightmare. Queuing arrangements poorly thought out. Still far from ideal.

We were very satisfied with the quality/price here at Wickes. Always lovely customer service and helpful staff. We were expected queues as is a very reliable store. However, there was not a waiting line, and the lady at the till extremely quick and serviable. Large car park and lots of trolleys around.Definitely recommend this store ?

I have been in there recently and purchased items and when you get to the till its dearer.Also today purchased six bags of coal for 46 pound git to till and it was 48When i challenged them they appeared not to believe meI said go and have a look st ticket.I was in the right.I never got my refund back.Because they did not have a clue on reimbursing me.And the que at the till was building up.Clueless and did not get apology.Good old B and Q from now on

On returning a piece of faulty equipment, the service was fantastic, friendly and efficient.Placing a materials order for delivery was easy and the comms leading up to the delivery was very professional. Keep up the great service.
