Doesnt let customer buy what it want? I need a 200 gbp gift card but i cant find 100gbp each so i took 4x 50gbp gift card the staff told me i could only buy 2 instead of 4?

Scruffy. Desperately needs a refit! The carpet looks like it dates back to the 1980s. Staffing is at a bare minimum and the lower floor has been closed. Often you have to use the auto checkout as the desk is unmanned.

Not impressed with the outcome I received, came here last Thursday to get a Ice Scraper for my car, waited at the counter for 30 minutes and no one was there they were too busy chatting in the back room, I had no choice but walk away and leave it behind came back and seen them on the counter didn't want to say anything just in case if it esculates into a situation, not impressed with the pure bad service from here and probably won't visit this WHSmith again

I used to shop here regularly when my son was growing up as it was really good for school stationary etc. and magazines, plus decent cards, wrap & art supplies. I used to go in just to browse but I've no idea why anyone would want to shop there now - it's really expensive, the range is poor and too many of the staff indifferent.I first shopped here not long after the Centre opened and it had a really good music department downstairs - happier times...

Far too expensive as is all WHSmiths, poor amount of stock, staff who try avoid help g a customer by disappearing as soon as some one comes in the shop. Not just here this seems to be the way in all of the WH Smiths stores.
