We were in Long Buckby and on our way home we decided to get a takeaway. When we got our food home. The chicken in my Korma was tough, stringly, dry and over cooked. I only ate it because I was hungry, the flavour was just ok, I didn't enjoy it and will not buy from there again. In my opinion, a waste of money and very disappointing. Their app didn't work for ordering a takeaway either.

The restaurant does not care about it customers. We came to this restaurant as it central to our friends for distance. However the restaurant is almost always cold, as they do not use their heaters. We have to bring extra clothing just to stay warm. Today the service was extremely bad. Although there was 4/5 table in the whole restaurant, I had to ask three times to have our order taken. The waiter responded abruptly "we are busy" well obviously not. I over heard another table complaining as well. 2 floor staff to look after 4/5 tables is plenty, I say this with experience as I come from a catering back ground.

Went here recently with family, I can't give it any more than 3 stars because it was okay but not really anything to write home about. It lacked that vibe I've had from other Indian restaurants I've attended. The service was fast and efficient, but it didn't feel like the friendliest place. I tried to have a bit of back and forth banter with the servers but they didn't really seem to be feeling it. Naan was burnt, I asked about what was in the Village Spice Special and I was told it was "curry sauce and not too spicy" which was underwhelming ambiguous. Don't get me wrong, the food was fast and it was fine, it just felt like it was missing that WOW factor.

While eating popadoms staff asked twice are we ready to order. Once we finished we ordered starters and mains but waiter appeared quite rude and when food arrived it was just plonked on table and waiter left. We asked for the bill and it was brought to the table without any hot towels and just 2 small chocolates, there was 4 of us. We paid and left and will never return.

My wife and I visited here tonight many years after our last meal at the Village SpiceSome changes in the intervening years!! Lovely to have crisp line o n the tables and be greeted by friendly and efficient staffMenu has some different choices to the norm and the wine list is reasonable tooOur food was served piping hot and was a delight along with great chapati and fluffy nan. Highly recommend this establishment for great cuisine and surroundingsYes we will be back but a lot sooner than last time!!

We couldn't have asked for more polite, and welcoming staff. Our food was piping hot , brought out promptly on a night when several large parties were visiting.
We tried some of the new dishes on the menu, and the waiter was able to describe the ingredients and how each dish was made.
We also didn't need to ask to order drinks, or to have completed meal plates removed as more than one waiter was checking all the tables. Thank you so much Village Spice for making my birthday celebrations such a lovely evening!

Excellent restaurant with a huge variety of dishes which will cater for all different tastes and degree of "hotness". Service excellent too.
