Very tasty meal today for our table of 9. 8 of us had carvery and were very happy with all that we had, it was delicious! Also did a takeout for my husband that couldn?t make it and The chef kindly came over to our table to bring us the freshly baked Yorkshire puds that he?d just made! (They had briefly ran out when I collected the takeaway meal). He was friendly although I can?t remember his name.Only downside to our meal was my niece ordered tomato soup which 30 mins after not receiving were told they had ran out and then her mac and cheese was a very disappointing small portion even for a child. It was nice though. All in all very pleasing experience.

The gravy hides the fact that the food is cold. I don't have gravy on meals, I really should have known better than to go back after 2 years. It was bad then and just as bad now. Would not recommend carvery, everything felt cold to the touch. Not nice

Food was cold and dry. Service was awful (other than the lady who served us. She was very attentive and sorted us quickly once seated). Seating took an age and the staff just stared at us whilst we were waiting. Promised a highchair. Waited 5 minutes before going to find one ourselves. Seriously

Informal, warm and cosy, reliable menu and quality of food. You know what you are going to get so good for children and fussy eaters. Probably need a few more staff waiting on tables, more vegan dessert options. Needed.Vegetarian options: More VEGAN plant based options needed across starters, main and dessert please.

Apart from some of the food being luke warm, the roasts were very tasteful. The service was excellent, Josh G looked after us from start to finish. No matter how stressful the place got, how busy it was and how much he had to juggle.. no tasks was too big. Thank you for being so polite and welcoming!

Me and a friend eat there once a week as the carvery represents value for money, it's not fine dining ,hence the 4 stars but it's good . From Johnny the kitchen manager to the serving staff all friendly and welcoming. We use to go to a competitor in Northampton BUT the Toby carvery is far better in quality of food. If I can just comment the outside requires some TLC .merry Christmas ?See you in a few Tuesdays timeVegetarian options: Upon entery you are askedDietary restrictions: Upon entery you are askedParking: Lots of it

Tasty Sunday lunch / carveryValue for money ? and huge portions available. I went back and grabbed an extra plate of potatoes and veg as I?m a greedy guts.Three meals, three drinks under £50Ollie and Maz serving on the carvery itself were exceptionally friendly and clearly wanted diners to enjoy their meals.Little bit noisy with small children and as it is a very busy venue

Have never had such a terrible carvery.Upon arrival we asked for an "easy access table" as one of our party wasn't as able bodied as the rest. We told the only table was in the bar.We ordered food, two carveries and two dishes from the menu. At the same time we ordered drinks. I went for the unlimited refill option. I was given a glass that was absolutely filthy, I asked for another which to be honest wasn't much better. The cutlery also wasn't looking it's best. I think it's fair today nobody bothers to dry and put away anything there it's all left in dishwashers or on the sides to dry.Us with carveries went to get out food. Can't complain about the meat, however the veggies and roast potatoes were horrendous and the food was barely tepid, even the gravy was like warm.Half way through these we realised the other dishes hadn't arrived, a good 30 mins from ordering. At this point they decided to advise that they had run out of what was ordered. Simply not good enough. Two people nearly done eating and one person not even received their food and then had to re-decide what they wanted. Upon complaint the staff member really didn't want to hear what our grievance was and kept coming back with a counter argument. Also upon walking to the carvery deck we noted that there were plenty of available tables with easy access in the restaurant side.Certainly won't be returning here, absolute waste of money for lukewarm, overcooked food, terrible customer service and dirty crockery and cutlery!Do yourself a favour people, there are several other decent carveries all within a 10/15 minutes drive.

Had no explanation as to how we ordered from the menu from our waitress, food was stone cold.Had to wait till last after everyone had eaten I got my dessert. Restaurant was dirty and makes you wonder what the rest of the kitchen etc is like. Wouldn't go again.

Usually pretty good with mobility issues but the assistant manager D decided that the obvious table with easy access was saved - we had booked and asked for table near to the carvery due to mobility issues. The first table he offered was in the bar area and wasn't ready. At this point we'd already being queuing 15 mins as D was in the kitchen not on the floor. Unusually none of the wait staff seemed allowed to help with seating patrons. We were eventually seated in a booth which was difficult to get in and out of again due to mobility issues but at this point we had given up. D seated the group of 3 20 something men at the "saved" table. Not dismissing unseen disabilities but judging by work wear etc it wasn't an issue. We are regulars and the food was of it's usual quality and the rest of the serving staff were excellent. However there was food on the floor by the carvery and they had run out of gravy and all condiments and took a while to refill. I've seen this restaurant with far less staff per customer but better kept. We will try again as it's usually excellent.Dietary restrictions: The glass onion app is pretty useless as it shows all the allergens per meal not per item. The vegetarian gravy is gluten free and I have never had an issue here. Staff very helpful and offered to check.Parking: Difficult to get a space in front of building and disabled spaces nearly always full. Plenty of space further down if you don't have mobility issues. Spaces narrow.Wheelchair accessibility: Building accessible, staff helpful in carrying / getting food if necessary.

Food: Nice quality but cold. Totally cold from the meat to the veg to the Mac n cheese. Was like eating left overs.Desserts were hot but the rice pudding took ages to come out.Service: Minimal effort. No explanation of how to order etc. No check ins during the meal. No reasons given as to why all the desserts came out separately.Cleanliness: Cob webs on the broken bottle "light shades". Smeared mirror. Dirty flooring.Furniture and Signage: No signs to the toilet. Furniture was dilapidated, with brown tape holding it together on one space. The benches with long table barely had room to be sat under (even for thin people). So we had to ask to move.I would like to add that one young lad was helpful but sadly was not our main server. You can tell this is typically used by the travel lodge guests as the Toby seems to have become complacent in all areas of delivery. Highly unlikely to visit again.
