My partner suggested this place to meet her after her hike. We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely village and this bar and restaurant that served a delicious Sunday roast. My daughter had the small free range chicken and I had the large roast beef. I was please to be offered a choice of pink or well done. The food came, was perfectly cooked, and meat & vegetables were delicious. For desserts we had their home made ice cream which was a real treat. Interesting flavours like roast banana and burned chocolate (at least I think that?s what they were called). Staff were friendly and helpful, and the toilet was clean and tidy (always a good barometer as to how good a place is). Definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.

we recently had our wedding and reception here and it was fantastic. Everyone was so helpful, friendly, welcoming and they went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Food was delicious and the BBQ at our reception was amazing. Thank you to the team for making our day perfect

Had a wake here after my Mum's funeral at Milton Malsor Crem. Very easy to get to. The room was very clean and we decorated before people arrived. The staff were very friendly and service was food. The egg sandwiches where a bit lacking in egg but apart from that everything was very good.

Lovely, small and cosy. Very clean. Breakfast was included,not a buffet, you choose which one and cooked fresh. Great service during breakfast, lady was very attentive and check out is easy and online placing the key in a bowl when leaving.
Very accomdating for us and allowed us to check in early at 1pm as we needed to head to a festival in Milton keynes. This was very helpful and handy, thank you. A restaurant and bar on site. Location was not great, distant from places and across from a train track which gets noisy early morning with the trains passing. Takes about 5 minutes for hot water to warm up which is explained on the leaflet however when the water is running a drainage smell starts coming from the bathroom which is not great. For convenience it was great.

Just had a wonderful stay at the walnut to celebrate my nieces wedding, staff very helpful, service & food excellent, room good, easy parking all in all a very special happy stay & wonderful wedding wouldn?t hesitate to recommend

We went with my sons and their wives to celebrate my 70th birthday. Rooms were lovely clean and very nicely decorated. We had a meal in the restaurant which was very good. There was a live band on in the to entertain us after. Breakfast had a great choice,the only thing missing was fruit

Tried dropping in for a meal end a drink. No dogs allowed. Told we could use beer garden. Couldn't find the bar without going through the restaurant . Staff couldn't care less. Certainly not my idea of an Inn.

Drinks are expensive. Saw someone order 15 shots, £61.70!!
In my local that would have cost me £38!
Ordered the same drinks twice and the second time they tried to charge us more than £2.50 extra. When I queried he didn't say a single word to us, just discussed with colleague and changed it on the card machine but didn't say oh sorry for the mistake or anything, or even that the new payment was on the machine.
Also the young lad needs to be shown how to pour ale ! (nozzle to the bottom of the glass not just blasted in the top!
